Room and bathroom were very spacious, quiet and spotless. Full glass windows on one wall with both translucent and solid curtain options. Bed and bedding good. Helpful front desk staff and excellent daily housekeeping service. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good (compared to USA hotels). Small pool and bar area on the roof. Also a lobby bar. Location was good with shops and restaurants nearby. Felt safe walking day and evening. Ubers were a quick, cheap and easy option to get to other parts of the city. The Hotel has an excellent location, with acceptable breakfast included (considering we stayed 10 days), comfortable rooms, quiet atmosphere and free parking on site.
If you're not driving, the El Carmen Metro Station is 3 blocks from the Hotel.

We made a reservation via booking.com for two nights and arrived at the hotel around 10 PM after an 11 hours car drive from Bocas. The two front desk clerks told us that our room is cancelled which we couldn’t believe since we did not get any information from neither booking.com northern hotel that our room was cancelled. They also said that the hotel is fully booked and did not provide any solution to us where we are going to possibly stay that night. We tried to insist to get a room and eventually 45 minutes of arguments they informed a so called partner hotel to provide us a room for the night. Before we left around 11 PM we asked them as to whether we should pay the room for the second night since we were planning to stay at least the second night at the booked room. They told us that it would be a good idea otherwise they would have cancelled the second night as well. We could not believe this that they did not tell us actively to pay the second night. If we would not have asked them they would have sent us away again the next day. When we arrived the next day at 11 AM the room of course was not ready so we put our luggage in the storage room and asked formte hotel manager who was not in like the day before and also not the next day we departed. It seems the hotel has no manager at duty. When we came back from our day trip to check in around 6 PM the key card to open the room door did not work in the next 20 hours we had to go and see the front desk at least 10 times to recode the key card because it was simple not working after we came back from gym, pool, dinner and breakfast. The front desk clears in the morning were again very demotivated, spoke little to non English and weren’t helpful at all. They weren’t able to get the room key working which is basic stuff in a 4 star hotel. The service is really unbelievable bad, the rooms are clearly overrated, the breakfast area is by far too small and breakfast is mediocre at best. We cannot recommend this hotel and wonder how other guest rate the hotel better than 1 star. A nightmare experience and never again!

Our credit card was charged an additional charge of $14.64 which we will be disputing. Please ensure this amount is reversed. When we checked out on December 13th and confirmed with the front desk at your hotel, they clearly stated there was no additional charge. My husband and I travelled to Panama, our first time there, last week (February 15 - 25). We chose this hotel as part of a three day package offered by Panama Canal Tours (staying an extra day) and were not disappointed. This hotel is certainly a great price point and good value. Our stay at this hotel was for four nights and it was terrific; clean and comfortable room, excellent mattress and plenty of good pillows, spacious and with a safe and bar fridge as well as good storage areas for luggage/clothing, etc. The lobby bar hosts the breakfast in the morning which was a full service one; protein options, sweets, fruits, etc and all tasty. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful in most cases. There is a rooftop bar and pool with awesome views. The location is good; near to other restaurants (try the Italian restaurant across the street), a subway if you wish, a pharmacy (which we needed) and small grocer. It is also a few blocks away from from bigger shopping (and a Starbucks, etc) but we did not have a chance to explore that area. The walk to the waterfront is around 30 - 40 minutes but taxi's are also available and very reasonable in cost. My only issue was in regards to the shower. Although very clean (and stocked with shampoo, amenities, etc) it was cold. The temperature, for showers, is a challenge in the tropics, which we fully understand, and sometimes, when many are using it all at once, this becomes a bigger problem. We are used to that and just try to accommodate it by choosing other shower times. However, the young woman at the front desk did not seem too sympathetic as she suggested that we need to adjust our expectations in the tropics. We travel a fair bit and completely understand this as something different in South and Central America but over the course of four days, I was not able to even get any warmth in the water. I was awake at 4 am on the last day and thought I'd attempt a shower at that point, thinking it was outside the demand of busier hours, but it was still freezing. Not luke warm...very, very cold. Finally, at 6:30 am, I mentioned it to the front desk and suggested that they consider looking into it (we were checking out so to late for us) so that the next customer was more satisfied. Judging by her reticence, I am not confident she was agreeable or would try to resolve it. Aside from this issue, and in hopes that this was an isolated incident, I would still recommend this hotel and even come again.

Stayed here for 4 nights in Nov 2022. The location was central and could walk most places in the area with a good amount of restaurants close by. The room and facilities were very clean. We had a corner room with good city views, The beds were comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. Solid buffet breakfast included, The staff were helpful with all questions we had. Really good 3 star property.

Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff be it at the reception, in the bar/breakfast area or the people in charge of cleaning.
Excellent location I found. Metro on line 1 is a block away (5 minutes), various restaurants around (incl. US usual fast food chains), many convenient shops and even a laundry next door.
Nice ca 1 hour walk to the old city along the Pacific (a 15 minutes walk to get to the Pacific and then all along the coast... nice & safe).
From the airport with public transportation: bus right outside terminal 1 on the right hand side. Clearly marked. At the corredor sur station (2 stops I think, very quick) transfer to the line 2 metro, in direction of San Miguelito (terminal station of line 2 in Panama) and from there transfer to the metro line 1 in direction of Albrook and get out at Iglesia del Carmen station. 5 minutes walk using the Via Veneto. Time: around 1 hour. Cost per person: less than one dollar. Please note that due to COVID both a face mask and an additional protection for the eyes called PANTALLA is currently mandatory for all public transport (bus, train, metro). Pantalla & metro/bus card can be acquired at the airport next to the exit doors of the terminal. Metro/bus card need for the trip as no cash accepted.
Also note that currently rooms at the hotel are only made (cleaned, etc..) every 7 days of your stay.
There is a small gym and small (but nice) swimming pool on the rooftop (as pictured on the various websites for the hotel).
Breakfast area is small and can get quite crowded at times which means potential waiting times. Open from 6:30 until 10 AM. Breakfast itself is simple. Various options of eggs (served one time) with 2 slides of bread. The other items: coffee, tea, fresh fruits in glass portions and 2 types of juice (orange & punch fruits) are self-service. As an alternative to the eggs you can choose pancakes. So all rather on the basic side and more appropriate for light eaters in my opinion ;-)

A good value choice in Panama City. The room was spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. An easy and reasonable Uber to all the main sights. Motts Eating House is a couple of mins walk away for breakfast if staying on a room only basis. Stayed at the start of a trip and happily rebooked at the end.
