Food was decent. Service not so much. Part of it is not the fault of the servers. They aren’t allowed to share the wifi code. For a tourist that wants to have a lunch or business dinner, I don’t recommend as wifi is a must for tourists. Go somewhere else. Was taken care Keila (not her fault). She was just the messenger. In such a difficult economic situation, I was surprised of doing things to drive away customers.
Nice and clean hotel, spacious rooms. Nothing fancy, rather mainstream, good value for money. A bit off from the old town but we did not mind and would stay here again. We were treated well but would have felt even more welcome if the staff would have been a bit more empathetic and would not have reduced communication to a minimum. Nevertheless: Great hotel which we can truly recommend.
Myself and partner visited this Hotel a few times when it was The Ola Panama now the Globals Hotel Panama. It seems that the standard has dropped considerably this visit. The food was sadly lacking. The Main Chef did his best but was under great pressure it seemed. He was very very busy with virtually no help. My thoughts were that they were under staffed. The Air conditioning went off every night. I complained on two consecutive nights about it. It was restored quickly but only after being woken up with the heat and hardly able to breath. The WIFI was Nonexistent in Room 404. There also seems to be an issue with Ants in this room. My partner was bitten by what looked like midges every night in the restaurant as there were no insect trap lights or similar. We bought the drinks package which did save us a fortune. The room was clean and respectable and if not for the air conditioning would have been perfect. I really feel disappointed that I have only gave the Hotel 3 stars as I always thought it was a fantastic Hotel and worthy of five stars in the past. Alas if I were asked if I would return to this hotel, I would probably say No. (Sadly). So come on Globals Panama raise your game. Address the restaurant and the food. Sort the WIFI and the air conditioning. Jet2 also need to inspect the Hotels they offer the public as this was our third Jet2 trip this year and all have been labelled as 4 star but were sadly lacking and lucky if they were even at a 3 star Standard.…
Ok for a one night stay I guess. Here are a fewPros and Cons: The Hotel is in a good location near shops and restaurants. Lobby is cute but small. The price is reasonable for what you get. Check in took much longer than expected, considering how empty the place was. Bed was firm, shower wasn’t draining properly, TV remote didn’t work properly, Not in love with this Hotel, not sure Id stay here again, guess you get what you pay for. A one night stay here would suffice for me.
I stayed at Global Hotel Panama in February of this year and while the hotel isn’t bad, it is also not a 5* hotel. I’ve traveled all over the world so I do not have unrealistic expectations about hotels. I’ve also worked in the hospitality industry for 4years. I booked this hotel based on its 5* rating and pictures so I was disappointed when I got to my room. I stayed for 2 nights and then booked with the W, which I would consider a 5* hotel. Staff - The front desk staff and bar staff are awesome! The bellman staff on the other hand left a lot to be desired. The overnight bellman was down right rude. Rooms - Dated but clean. - Bed wasn’t too hard for me. - Unfortunately, they had internet issues during my stay. Almost an entire day with no wifi. Pool - Extremely small. - It’s more like a large Jacuzzi than a pool.…
Two night stay in a comfortable room on the 15th floor. Friendly helpful staff at reception. The bar/ breakfast staff were friendly. Good choice at breakfast. Small pool, no towels available and not staffed. Didn’t try jacuzzi as always had someone in it
I really loved this hotel. The staff was all nice despite the slow check-in, breakfast was amazing, the view was incredible. The bathroom was absolutely huge and the pool/hot tub were great, too. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Panama City.
My family and I just arrived home today and this was our second hotel in Panama. Honestly, I wish we had stayed at the first one. Staff: Ok, so the bell hop is the best. He should be the face of the hotel to be honest. Very attentive, friendly and overall extremely welcoming. He was amazing from the moment our car pulled in. There seemed to be only two front desk attendants a tall man and a female who were cold, stand off-ish and at times rude. Like looking at my family and I right in our faces and laughing rude. Other than one of our rooms not being ready (which honestly was not an issue because we were early) then being told we would be notified but weren't after waiting an hour, I guess they did their job. However, I would venture to say hospitality, welcoming and caring behavior is not in their job description. This was in STARK comparison to our first hotel which was actually quite disappointing as it was at the end of our trip. Rooms: The rooms, especially the corner suite delivered as far as decorum. I loved the tub and how everything separate. The view was also a plus. HOWEVER, as soon as you stepped off the elevator which continued into the room, there was a HORRIBLE moldly, wet, stuffy, old motel smell that just wouldn't go away. For someone with allergies or asthma it would be a nightmare. It made it difficult to sleep actually. Turning the air off helped a tiny bit but then the room was way too warm. Facilities: Wasn't interested in breakfast so can't speak on that. Husband and daughter ate dinner one night and were underwhelmed. My daughter actually got sick. The gym and pool were pretty cool. A fully equipped gym which was quite impressive. The pool could be considered smaller but it's proportionate to the area and with all the lounge furniture, it is actually quite relaxing! Overall: Personally would not stay again. Which is a shame because I live for nice bathrooms it this was top notch. But with staff attitude, motel smell and nasty food taken into consideration, it just doesn't make up for it. I felt more like a burden and bother than a valued guest. It truly put a damper on our vacation.…
We stayed at this hotel, while it’s nice, the staff are NOT friendly at all, very cold and not willing to help, in fact I am so disappointed with their service as I’ve emailed them 3 times most recently Feb 24 2022 after my stay to ask them for information regarding their bedding and they have not responded or even the courtesy to acknowledge my email, but when we were planning our stay they would reply right away, I guess this prove my point that the staff don’t care about customer service at all! If the staff who should help customer are not willing to do so then the hotel quality does not matter anymore… find a place where you can get the help you need in a foreign country. Jai Sukhai.
I come into the city once a month and this is my go to hotel. I love everything about it. The location is the best for traveling around the city. Lots of fabulous restaurants within walking distance. I can’t say enough about the kind staff at every level. The two waitresses serving breakfast are so friendly and nice! And so is the front desk and housekeeping service. You will not be disappointed!
