We love to stay at the Munroe Inn; we have been staying there every trip to Maine for the last three years. It offers the old charm of a historic building with the modern conveniences of a hotel, making it unique because of the warm hospitality of the innkeeper, Olga. When exploring Maine for leisure, staying at B&B, in our opinion, is a way to go and essential to experience Maine as a place where "the way life should be" (Maine's motto). We recommend sampling Olga's breakfasts: delicious and healthy; she would even make it for early birds like us at 6:30 am! We appreciate the quiet setting of the Inn in the city's downtown, close to all major routes we want to visit. We experience the Inn in a new way every time we come, appreciating that each day starts and ends with ease and positive vibes. Thank you, Olga!

Like a Dream! The Munroe Inn is exceptionally magnificent. The Hostess, Olga, is a top-notch Inn Keeper. She is friendly, well traveled and wise. I very much enjoyed our chats and laughs. I enjoyed carefully prepared and delicious meals. I felt right at home and slept great. My spotless room had beautiful natural light streaming through vintage stained glass windows, lovely furnishings and a claw foot tub and shower. My stay was in the Winter and the room was cozy and warm with endless hot water. The Munroe Inn is the best blend of a Queen Anne Inn with all the modern amenities. The Inn is an easy walk or bike ride to the historically scenic Androscoggin River Walk. It takes you on a leisurely stroll to cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shopping and local craft-breweries all a part of the vibrant scene of Lewiston and Auburn "L/A" Maine. I can't wait to visit again, soon, wonderful. Thank you Olga! Well done.

What a gem in Auburn, Maine! This bed and breakfast was recommended to me by some of my employees for a work trip. It did not disappoint! The house is old and eclectic, making it much more interesting than any of the hotels nearby, not to mention more affordable as well. There were live plants in each room plus tons of unique furniture pieces that made the house so welcoming.

Olga, the innkeeper, was so helpful and kind. Her daughters were also a pleasure to meet and their dog, Hurricane, was so sweet! I believe I stayed in the Maria room, which had a fun canopy bed and was incredibly spacious! Everything was quite clean and very comfortable.

I only had time for one breakfast, but it was well made and delicious! As it is a B&B and not a hotel, there is a community mini-fridge in the dining room to keep any food. We were also welcome to use the microwave in the kitchen. Additionally, an electric kettle is available with teas and beautiful china! About 5 minutes away you'll find the downtown area with some great options for food and drink. My favorites were Forage and Break for coffee, Boba for food, and Sonder & Dram for cocktails.

Needless to say, I had a wonderful stay. My only regret is that I didn't book longer sooner and had to finish my trip in a hotel, but I would definitely return if I come back to Lewiston! Thanks for the incredible hospitality, The Munroe Inn!

Spent 2 weeks her with my wife and son, moved my son to Auburn to play hockey and school so my wife and I looked for a place that would be more comfortable than a hotel. We were very pleased with Olga the owner, she was always there to answer questions-very clean and comfortable, close to everything-off street parking with some great neighbors. Great front porch to relax. Highly recommend we will stay here again!

Step back in time and enjoy this beautiful Victorian home and a standard of care from a more gracious epoch.

Our stay was restful - with a comfortable bed in a quiet room. Breakfast was amazing! We had a Korean omelet and homemade bread, local yogurt, and juice with regionally-foraged ingredients. And good coffee.

The home has been lovingly curated and includes art and ornaments from around the world. Interiors are original and and include authentic period furnishings. The B&B is in a neighborhood which is safe, quiet, and close to downtown (a few minutes’ walk), with a private parking area.

Olga offered recommendations for restaurants and activities, and I wish we could have stayed longer.

I think this may have been my first time staying at an actual Bed & Breakfast, and it was a lovely experience! Check in was super easy, the host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The breakfast the next morning was AWESOME, totally worth it rather than going in town. The room was clean, the bathroom was great and everything had a really great vintage/antique vibe.

What a lovely place, wonderful Victorian-style cottage with stylist furnishings makes you good about being there, good location and friendly dog greets you. Note it is not for those of limited physical means, no elevator and there are steep stairs. Also wouldn't do for anyone looking to stay up late and party in their room.

I stayed here last minute when my other hotel reservation didn't work out. Very glad I did as it redeemed an otherwise miserable trip. The hostess was very helpful and the room was a destination in its own right. Cheerful, clean, brightly lit both with the windows in the day time and the lamps at night. Several seating options to choose from in my space allowed me flexibility as i got work done and relaxed. Recommend highly! Quiet, peaceful, restful. Met my needs and more!

We are a mature couple who stayed in the spacious Maria Suite for a few days while visiting family in the area. We appreciated the opportunity to stay in a historical and architecturally interesting house like the Munroe. We were the only guests during most of our stay, so it was quiet and we had the house to ourselves. The bed was very comfortable and we had no problems during our stay. The nearby grocery store was a plus.
