Front desk staff was not at all friendly and close to rude. Breakfast was a joke. They had some instant oatmeal and donuts. They don’t keep it stocked at all. I’ll look for something better next time we’re in the area.

They call themselves an Inn, but it really a motel. Small, dark, cramped room. Bathroom was dirty. The walls are so thin you can hear every conversation and more going on next door.
I would not recommend the place to anyone.

We just returned from the Fireside Inn due to our first visit to Auburn to meet our new granddaughter. My son & his wife just moved to Auburn before the baby was born and we had never stayed in the area before. Our challenge this trip, was that we intended to bring the two dogs and many places either don't take dogs at all or they charge so much extra per dog, that it feels like highway robbery. This how we came to be at the Fireside Inn.
Now having read some very mixed reviews & knowing in advance that the rooms there that accepted dogs were on the un-renovated side of the motel for $69. a night, we were a little uneasy. It is a truck stop motel off I 95 in the middle of nowhere. However, all of the front desk people(especially Amanda)were friendly, helpful & professional. The room was very clean for starters. So were the bed linens & everything in the bathroom. Thick, new white towels and a very comfortable king size bed. The room darkening drapes, good TV, heat & wi-fi made our two nights there, very comfortable! The dogs were welcomed with two new red dog bowls and the hotels inner courtyard was a safe & quiet place to walk them 5 times a day. The Keurig coffee pot in our room along with the availability of making bagels or having a donut with coffee in the morning was more than enough to start the day. We will be regular visitors now to Auburn to be with family and will enjoying staying at the Fireside Inn again.

Easy to find right off the highway, but far enough way from it that noise is no problem. Paid around $100 and I was very surprised by the quality of this hotel. Good front desk service. Room was very big, and looked new. It was very clean. I got two queens, and a fireplace. I didn’t ask for either (I was solo and looking for a basic room), so I think this was a free upgrade. The fireplace was a nice touch. Bed was adequate. Had a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was nice, with double sinks. Curtains blacked out the light well. This place was QUIET! TV and internet worked well. Breakfast was adequate: waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels, oranges, pre-packaged danishes, etc. I travel a lot, and rooms of this quality are typically in the $140-$160 per night range. So it was nice to save a little money and get a nice night’s stay. This will be our go-to place when we need to make a pit stop in the area. Highly recommend.

Our stay was brief, one night, and we were charged $170.00. It was my boyfriend, me and our dog. The room was a smoking room and it showed. For the money we paid we should have had a room that didnt have chunks of some foreign object on the walls, cigarette burns on the sink counter, , the shower has paint chipping off the walls IN the shower, there is a sheet and a fleece blanket on the bed, I need to remind everyone I paid $170.00 for this dive.I would never ever tell anyone to stay here, in fact I will go out of my way to tell friends to NOT stay.

Samantha is just absolutely great, she goes above and beyond for her guests and it shows. I work at a comfort inn in Connecticut and she was very accommodating to get us an early check in. The breakfast area was clean and alot of choices. Thank you again for everything.

There are two separate hotels here. Which we did not realize. Save yourself the despair and choose a suite. The "inn" rooms are very low quality. The pictures online are mostly of the suites. Which we thought we rented. We were very unhappy with the room.

My sister and I stayed here overnight on 3/4 based on the photos and the decent reviews. Boy, were we fooled! I guess if you pay the hotel rates, you get a room in the front part of the hotel. We booked on priceline.com at a rate that was about $19 less than the hotel rate I overheard the front desk person quote to a person on the telephone. Our room was in the back part of the hotel that looked liked Poppy's by the Tree. We joked that it looked like a place where someone would kick the door open, tie you up, and steal your money. Judging by the dent in the front door, it looked like someone beat us to it. The room smelled stale, the floor needed vacuuming, and there was pet hair on the bed. The bathtub had ants and brown stains and the tiles were broken and dented. Because it was late, my sister and I decided to stay. We ran to the Circle K next door to get bleach and lysol spray. We sprayed every inch of the room and bleached out bathroom. We left bright and early the next day. This was the worse hotel experience ever! We felt we got a lot less than what we paid for.

I stayed here a few weeks ago and I'll never go back. My father in law was in the hospital and we unexpectedly needed a hotel for a night. I booked on Priceline and when I got to the hotel the lady at the front desk apparently couldn't find my reservation. She didn't bother to let me know that and just went ahead and charged my card again! I noticed the double charge the next morning and spoke with the manager upon check out. She hemmed and hawed at the computer for about 10 minutes without speaking a word to me and when I asked how long it was going to be, because my 9 month old was sleeping in the car, she said that I could either wait for her to figure it out there or call Priceline myself and deal with it. At that point I left, called Priceline and got it straightened away with them within 5min. Three weeks later I'm still waiting for a refund from the hotel. I call every week and now she's telling me that I need my bank to fax over a statement showing that I haven't been refunded. Absolutely ridiculous.
Also, I'm hoping the rooms in the part of the hotel that looks newer are nicer but I was put in the back section that is clearly very old. It has outside entrances that face the woods with a truck stop next door. Not an ideal location for a single female traveling with an infant.

No, our room was not by the pool and not a consideration for us, we were there for a conference . The breakfast was not the greatest but again adequate for our needs.
I was just there yesterday and the pool was still open
