A New England experience like no other. Recently renovated, the rooms are great, the conference spaces welcoming, and the restaurant a nice blend of colonial and modern. Get rid of the name, my friends....if Amherst College can lose its mascot, you can change your name too.

Dear g0ldengut, Thank you for spending a visit with us at the historic Lord Jeffery Inn! We hope you enjoyed the unique rooms—while we made some incredible renovations, we worked to preserve the history and charm of the Inn. What an experience it is to enjoy a locally sourced meal down at 30Boltwood, and return to your room with your...

The Inn itself is beautiful- owned by the Amherst college I believe. Next time I will stay there but this time was only dinner. So, the wine special was from South Africa and was delicious- a bottle for $25 !! Amazing. My colleagues had the scallops, I had salmon like I always do. Well presented with luscious flavor. Decent prices,...

We were in the area to connect with family and had a great day at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art with our toddler grandson and his parents. We grandparents stayed at the Lord Jeffrey Inn as a treat and were delighted with our decision. Enjoyed the lounge with fireplace and newspapers. Very well kept, clean, lovely building.

Dear Joan E, The Eric Carle Museum is a fantastic place! We hope that you were able to enjoy the “Brown Bear” exhibit with your children and grandson. It is also wonderful to hear that you were able to spend time in our library—one of our favorite spots to read the morning paper and indulge in a cup of coffee....

Our two rooms were very nice - rm 304 is a king...very quiet but faces the street so lights are a problem at night. The Boltwood Restaurant should be skipped. It's nicely decorated but the dinner menu had few choices and the breakfasts were not good. Sorry Lord Jeff, we prefer staying with you but the food made this trip...

If you happen to stay at the Lord Jeffery Inn (especially if you're on a college campus tour), take the time and check out the common room / lounge on the first floor. We stayed at the Lord Jeffery for one night over Thanksgiving, when we were visiting family. The hotel is a classic, small-town college hotel, reminiscent for us of the Nassau Inn in Princeton, New Jersey. The staff are very friendly and professional, the rooms clean and nicely appointed, the breakfasts excellent, and it couldn't be more centrally located. The bathrooms...
