The Jared Coffin is perfection!!! The staff is always very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the location can't be beat. We arrive early in the day, so that we don't waste a second on the island. If our room isn't ready, they are more than happy to stow the luggage in the lobby closet. They also keep it, if...

We returned to this wonderful, historic hotel 30 years after staying here on our honeymoon. Still a top shelf place with beautiful rooms (yes, the same room, too... Aaawwwwww) Two minor downers: the hotel couldn't find a suitable restauranteur in 2013, so they've gone without, and have had to struggle through it by offering an incredibly embarrassing continental breakfast in...

Our son made the reservations for the Jared Coffin, based on Fodor's reviews. We had stayed there many years ago on our first trip to Nantucket and smiled. Right up the hill from the ferry, it was easily accessible. However, there are stairs, and those with mobility issues might want to investigate options. This hotel -- like most things in...

We stayed here for one night on Labor Day weekend and it has been difficult to wrap my mind around the $500 + hotel bill. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the room-ugh. It was a rear/brick wall facing room and has not been updated since the 70's. I had to slam the door in order to get...

This historic inn is beautiful inside and out. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. N The location is convenient, within walking distance of anything in Nantucket town, but relaxed and quiet inside. The complimentary breakfast is very good, with fresh fruit and quiche in addition to the delicious pastries. The restaurant is not open for the 2013 season but...

The location of the Nantucket institution, the Jared Coffin House, is fantastic. The kindness of the staff, from the valet (amazingly helpful & kind with our 17 bags & no elevator) the front desk staff & the housekeepers was beyond. The B&B is definitely in need of facelift. The rooms are SO tiny & my bed wasn't the most comfortable...
