Martin House is a lovely inn on Nantucket. The inn is decorated very well and extremely comfortable. Our room was clean and the beds are comfy. The innkeeper is very friendly. The inn had a great homemade breakfast ranging from muffins, scones to fresh fruit. Also there are cookies when you come home at night!!

In the middle of a Boston, Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod trip, we stayed at Martin House Inn and had a fabulous time. The Inn is gorgeous and our room very romantic (even if it was just off the hallway, the four poster bed and room style made up for it). The host Skye was great fun and we enjoyed delicious...

After a business trip I decided to drive past Logan and continue on. With a last minute reservation at the Martin House it was perfect. Skye the Innkeeper and baker extraordinarie was terrific. With her terrific breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese I met all the other 13 guests and had a wonderful exchange. The Widows Walk was a great...

A porch to live on. Cocktails and homemade cookies just when you need it. Charming rooms, comfortable accomodations, priced right. I had a lovely stay during the Nantucket Wine Festival, felt soo much at home, I even caught a late afternoon cat nap in the bay window located in the cozy living room. Was able to keep quiet, was able...

For a couple wanting a great location and cozy place, this is perfect. We came here celebrating our 20 year anniversary and it did not disappoint for a romantic, quiet place that offered all that we were seeking for a week alone. The innkeeper, Skye Schuler is simply delightful - and the breakfasts she serves (included with the stay) would...

I am a musician, and traveled recently to Nantucket to play a concert with my quintet on the island. I stayed at this B&B. I usually don't care for that kind of accommodation but this one is great. Very friendly innkeeper, Skye Schuyler, excellent Continental breakfast (great coffee in particular) very clean and quite. Highly recommended.

When traveling with children, we always try to stay stay within walking distance to the main attractions - in this case, Nantucket's Main Street over Thanksgiving Weekend. Based on this, I found Martin House Inn. It was so much more than I was expecting. The Inn itself was elegant and comfortable, our guest rooms spacious and lovely. But what really...

I think you know how much we appreciate all that you and your staff at the Martin House did to make the Madeline’s Christmas teas a delight for all who attended them. Your historic inn glowed with Christmas warmth and cheer. I can’t imagine a more welcoming place to gather with friends or to spend a wonderful week or more...

My husband and I traveled to Nantucket from Texas and have been several times but this was the first time staying at the Martin House and we had a wonderful stay. The room was very nicely decorated, the common living room space and dining area was very warm and inviting and the outside porch was the perfect place to relax...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our spacious accommodations blend the convenience and comforts of today with the romance and nostalgia of the past. Built in 1803 by a sea captain for his bride and recently restored to a gracious old-world elegance, the inn combines the charm and romance of a bygone era with all the comforts of home. With its many comfortable gathering areas, its fireplaces, the luxury of its rooms, its peaceful veranda caressed by light breezes and the sound of classical music, and of course its spacious roof walk offering panoramic views of the town and the harbor, the Martin House is a place that beckons you to return. We serve a bountiful continental breakfast prepared by our pastry chef, featuring her famous homemade granola and scones, another pastry, cereals, fruit, juices, gourmet coffee and tea, each morning. In the afternoon, we serve homemade treats. In the heart of Nantucket’s historic district, the inn is just a short walk from all the shops, beaches and restaurants in town. 13 rooms, air conditioning, free wireless internet; many guest rooms with working fireplaces. ... more   less
