stayed here while on a mission trip in Guatemala loved it. clean, colorful and within walking distance to downtown The people that worked there were very accommodating helping our group make phone calls back to the states answering all are goofy questions, etc. would stay there again in a heartbeat

Have stayed here a total of nearly 10 weeks over eight visits; my next visit is already reserved. I've been here with family, friends, and strangers about to become friends. This is not a five-star property. Its conversion from hacienda to hotel was slap-dash and haphazard. There can, at times, be too much street noise, and the wifi is wonky. ...but I'll be back, and I'll recommend it to friends as an oasis from their expectations. The courtyards and walk ways will hang with dense flowering vines in the spring and summer, that when added to the flowering shrubs and trees perfumes this small world in a way Chanel aspires to. The fountain in the main courtyard adds its own bouquet and the soundtrack of splashing water. It's a perfect place to sip a beer, read a book, fall asleep. The staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful as they know how to be. I leave for meals; they don't excel a cooking and the location is central to Antigua. They do excel at making you at home. Bring a refillable water bottle. Clean drinking water is provided around the hotel.

I sorta liked this old hotel which was formerly a home 70 years ago. The lobby was beautifully decorated with old rugs and decorated walls. Edwin, the young caretaker, was very helpful and hospitable. He gave us the room farthest from the main street to lessen the street noise, but between the main street and the freeway behind the hotel, the traffic noise was deafening. Jake brakes from semis and obnoxious motorcycles made sleep extremely difficult. Earplugs were thoughtfully supplied in each room.
Our room was quaint, but it was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. A queen bed with just enough room on either side of the bed to walk. A mini bathroom with the sink outside the actual bathroom. One bedside had a table, but the other side had nothing for a second person to set their nighttime items. There was one very bright central light, but no bedside lamps. But lots of outlets!
The outside had a small pool and formerly lavish furnishings reflecting another era. The landscaping was lush. It must have been a gorgeous home/hotel at one time, but the exterior wood was sadly worn and faded. We looked again at the advertised pictures—except for the lobby, most of the photos are from better days.
To be fair, I have stayed at many of these little motels on the main street near San Jose Airport, and they are all extremely noisy and they are all reasonably priced at around $70. Considering that the Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn average $150/night, this is reasonable for a one-night stay. We were amused and satisfied.

This hotel was exactly what we needed coming from wintry Minnesota. The gardens are truly beautiful. Our room was comfortable. We could easily hear people talking as they walked by the room, but the hotel was mostly quiet. Our only problem was in trying to reserve a room. The hotel reservation process was so confusing that we ended up using an outside booking site. Then it took 3 or 4 attempts to get our credit card through. None of our other bookings of a 4-week trip had issues with the card. But the hotel staff was great, and very helpful when our shuttle didn't show up on time. Also, the location of the hotel can't be beat. We'd go back!

Stayed at this hotel a few times. It is comfortable and the staff are friendly. We bring groups here and it is in a convenient location. Good place for groups to stay and quiet compared to many hotels in Antigua. There is no parking and breakfast is served at an additional cost.

I stayed at the Hotel Casa from February 27 - 28 and March 3-4th. Upon arrival I noticed the magnificent garden and all it’s beautiful flowers. The staff was very welcoming. They do a lot of business with my company often so they already knew to have certain accommodations in place. The location is perfect. Two blocks close to the Arch, a few blocks close to Central Park and best a bunch of restaurants. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, I had a good stay. One suggestion.... Leave a night light at the entrance. My flight was at 6am so I had to leave at 4am. I was in room #18. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to find my way to the front.

They were so nice, friendly and welcoming. Laundry is cheap. Service is amazing. They answer all your questions. They speak great English as well (I don't speak much Spanish so it was very helpful). Food is delicious. Nice rooftop for early morning reads and to see the sunset/sunrise. Just a great experience.

Like previous ratings of this beautiful hotel, nothing was exaggerated. The grounds and courtyards are beautiful with antique furniture, fountains, flowers, candles, and waterfalls.

My room featured a beautiful antique for poster, bed and other furniture. It was in the first courtyard. My bed was comfortable in the bathroom was certainly adequate.

The staff here are so nice and polite.

The location of this hotel is excellent, just a couple blocks from Parque Central and the arch.

During this time of the year, I got an excellent rate for this room.

I will certainly return here.

Our mission team stayed two nights. It was a great. The front desk staff, Gabriela and Mecedes, were the best! So helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable. The location was excellent, easy walking distance from Central Park, great restaurants, shopping and beautiful old churches. The breakfast buffet was top notch and inexpensive. Thank you!
