This small but beautiful hotel was home for 3 nights while we were in Antigua. It is located very conveniently close to the famous yellow Arch in Antigua and just down one block from the town square, shopping, banking and restaurants. You can't tell from the outside, but this small hotel has a beautiful courtyard with blooming plants, greenery and a pool. There is also a covered breakfast area that became our gathering place in the morning mostly because they had free coffee and cold water. Fortunately, our room was upstairs above the breakfast area. Even though there are stairs to haul your suitcases up and down, try to reserve room 10, 11 or 12. Those rooms have a balcony that you can watch Volcano Fuego erupt every night! There are several benches to sit on along the room windows, and when we discovered the "volcano show", we would tell our friends to gather on the balcony with their coffee, water or other beverage of choice and "watch the show"!! My only complaint is that the beds in this hotel are very hard. I am a side sleeper, and after the first night, had to ask for more pillows to lay them down on the bed to sleep on top of them, so my hips didn't hurt all night. And because we also stayed at another hotel in another part of the country and discovered the same situation with their beds, next year when I go back, I will be bringing a blow up pool float to sleep on. But other than that, I strongly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here twice during our trip, several nights while exploring Antigua and after returning from a weekend in Honduras. We arrive late at night both times and were greeted immediately by friendly staff. There is a locked security door at night, but it was opened quickly. The reception staff all speak English. The location is perfect, just off the main square, close to restaurants, museums, transportation and tour offices. I felt safe walking around the area even after dark. There is so much to see and do in Antigua!

The hotel is beautifully decorated in bright Guatemalan art and textiles. The pool is very nice with loungers and change rooms.

We stayed in two different rooms. The first was on the main floor, near the reception desk. It was huge with a big window at street level. We could hear some traffic noise, but it was quiet at night. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable.

The hotel kindly stored some of our luggage while we went to Honduras for a few days. Storage was very secure and all our things were returned exactly as we left them. Our second room was upstairs and had an amazing volcano view! The room was smaller with a funky, original bathroom set-up. It was again very clean and comfortable.

We used the hotel laundry service. Reasonable price and our clothes were returned by the end of the day. The staff keep food and water outside the doors for the street dogs(a nice touch for this dog lover!)

Highly recommend, will stay here again.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Location is great - 1/2 block from the Central Park.

We typically stay at larger, higher rated hotels in Antigua, but this was a quick overnight on our way through so we gave this hotel a try. We probably won’t stay again only because of the bathroom set up. Maybe it was just our room, and it was fully functional, but the shower, toilet and sink were in separate “closets” and just felt odd for 3 people. And no counter space or shelves to set toiletries.

Nice pool area and coffee service, but no food service or breakfast. Overall a satisfactory stay.

Stay away from room 8 at all cost! The room is unreasonably small and thats the best feature. Granted there is no air conditioning but no big deal in the land of eternal spring, right? Wrong my fellow travelers! In the event you'd open your windows for a breeze, you'll promptly be greeted by the soothing sounds of street traffic as you are right over the sidewalk. Take that peaceful moment to enjoy, because at night the multi themed nightclub next door really gets going, or maybe its the bar across the street from your bed...?
Any attempt at modesty is will be met by a wall( i wish a wall really) of humility as i had to sit on the toilet if you know my meaning. I had to ask my partner to kindly turn over in bed and put her headphones on and play music whilst i used the service. I didnt, strangely enough, appreciate the toilets lication so close to her nightstand...
Asking for another room is another story, do youselves a favor and find another hotel unless you're into this kind of thing...

Very cute hotel just barely off of the main plaza. Pros: lovely views, close to everything, friendly and helpful staff, nice communal palaces to relax, fairly warm pool. Cons: breakfast is slightly discounted coupon to a restaurant a few streets away. Delicious, but not included in the price of the hotel. And the hotel is located two doors down from a bar/club with VERY loud music on the weekends until about 1 am (medium loud on weekdays). Bring earplugs if you’re sensitive.

The Hotel Casa del Parque is a genuinely friendly and an interesting hotel very close to the cathedral and main square.
Rosa and Alejandra are fabulous on reception and all the staff are smiley and helpful. There is a good sized plunge pool and breakfasts are ordered on the day, if you want them.
Totally unpretentious the staff have a genuine desire to ensure your stay is memorable.

We loved our stay. The view of the volcano from the balcony was wonderful. The rooms we clean. When we needed help finding a place they were so helpful. They lock a gate at night and someone is always at the desk.
I would stay again.

Eight of us were staying in a home stay in Antigua, the last weekend we wanted four rooms in a nice hotel. Being we were already here we wanted to see the hotels and maybe even look at a room.
I was meeting my friend here to take a look. I arrived early. The front desk clerk was having a personal call and refused to acknowledge me or even look up at me.
I was ten minutes early so I took a look at the lobby and the pool. I used the men’s room.
The front desk went wild. She started screaming at me that men’s room was only for guests. She was screaming at me and it was embarrassing. She basically kicked me out!
Needless to say we did NOT book this hotel for our group!

Very lovely room and pool setting. It's a place to stay, not to eat or drink. Rooms were nice, beds a little hard, but only stayed for one night. Check in was late because my room wasn't finished, but all was taken care of. Towels need to be updated, they're pretty worn. They push you to "reserve" space at the pool because of COVID, but never saw more than two people there. Hotel is very close to everything in Antigua and is a very pretty property. Right next to Barrio bar which is nice too. Highly recommended.

Dear Mark, thank you for your comments and feedback about our hotel. This are very important to us and help us to improve our services. Due to Covid pandemic we need to take care of this issues and we can be flexible in case there are no more guests in the pool, but is a protocol we have to work with. We hope you can visit us soon.

Our family loved this hotel! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The shuttle service was easy to set up to and from the airport. I have read reviews about the beds being too hard- we actually prefer a firmer mattress and found them to be perfect! The hotel was SO clean!! It is in an extremely convenient location to Central Park and restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel felt super safe. The gate is kept closed most of the time with a button to buzz. The front desk is always staffed. We were dropped off late after attending a wedding and staff immediately opened the gate for us. The entire grounds are decorated so nice. The pool is a nice addition! I feel I do need to mention that yes, the bar next door unfortunately adds noise at no fault of the hotel but for our family, we were tired from travels and explorations, so we had no trouble falling asleep! Ask for a second story room if possible. The view from the balcony outside room 10 was breathtaking!! Perfect view of the volcano! The little ice cream shoppe next to the hotel was really good, too! I fell in love with Antigua City and hope to visit again! I would definitely choose this hotel again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
