If you want a comfortable, homey atmosphere as a base in Antigua then there is no better place. A great communal area, cool rooftop with a view, perfect location, and the owner is awesome and takes an active interest in making sure you experience Antigua to its fullest. The WiFi is strong, the staff helpful arranging tours and travel accommodations,...

Awesome hostel, well run and has breakfast, bunk beds, private rooms, a cool rooftop to chill on with beautiful city vistas and volcanos in the distance, lots of Antigua things to do, beautiful scenery and volcano hiking if you want. Reasonable prices, and I met lots of great and wonderful people!

We stayed at Holistico in a private room for 2 nights ($20 including breakfast). It is a very relaxed hostel and the communal area is a courtyard with couches, tables chairs etc. The Wifi is strong and reliable - which has been a step up from other locations in Guatemala. Breakfast is good value and the location is excellent. The...

I met some interesting and enlightened people at this hostel and as other reviewers say, the breakfasts are good and the hostel is good value. A couple of things to consider: 1. The dorm in the back although having a private bathroom doesn´t have hot water in the shower. The shared bathrooms with a hot water shower are next door...

The Holistico is a wonderful find that I stumbled upon in early 2010 while in Antigua Guatemala and have been making trips every year since. I have stayed in several hostals in the this captivating Spanish colonial town (I worked in Guatemala from 2009-2011), but none catch the thriving artistic and multicultural spirit of Antigua like the Holistico. The atmosphere...

Stayed for 2 nights in the off peak season. The manager was not helpful or very friendly. Rooms were cheap but we had booked a female dorm and they tried to put a male in with us. The bathrooms were dank and no soap. The rooms had very bad lighting and the hostel seemed close to pitch black at night....

Holistico Hostal was such an amazing place to stay and offered a plethora of wonderful memories for me. The owner, staff, and travelers at this location were simply astoundingly knowledgeable, friendly and enjoyable to be around. The open courtyard, decorated with live greenery offered a sense of warmth and comfortability, that also allowed for a great social and entertainment space-...

The staff are extremely friendly! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Holistico. The owner is amazing and the rooms are comfortable. Although the lookout is a little small, it is one of the most beautiful and cozy views in all of Antigua. Not to mention the price is amazing. I recommend this place for all down to earth travelers.

Holistico Hostal is by far the Best Hostal in Antigua. Very friendly staff, amazing coffee, beds are great in both dorm and private rooms. Its very safe, beautiful room top terrace, and a fantastic vibe. Be sure to get there around 8pm on Fridays for Salsa night. I would recommend to both single traveler, couple, or group. See you in...
