My father and I went to Guatemala for 7 days from April 30th to May 7th. We had worked with Lodge owner Captain Chris Starrs for the booking and he was responsive to every inquiry. Now I'll break down my review below: Fishing: The fishing of Iztapa is quite simply insane. Packed with Pacific Sailfish, Dorado and Marlin, our trip...

We are still jet lagged from our fabulous trip to Guatemala! My husband asked what I wanted to do for our 25 wedding anniversary, my answer was "sail fishing"! We took our 2 boys 24 and 20 with us. I cannot even come close to describing this trip. The accommodations were wonderful! The food was awesome and the fishing was...

Simply put Casa Starrs and Captain Chris are the absolute best in show. I am sure my review will not do justice, but I have experienced nothing better then my visit to Casa Starrs. The fishing was incredible, hooking huge Sails, Marlin, Mahi Mahi and even Tuna. We were on the fish all day and Captain Chris made sure we...

Fantastic accommodations with top notch service. Meals were first class all the way. Capt Chris put us on the fish and we all had multiple sailfish hooked up. Totally recommend this to anyone looking for great fishing in a beautiful country.

My wife and I just returned from a trip to fish at Blue Bayou Guatemala. We had a blast! The villa was very nice with a pool and cabana. We fished for 3 days, and released a total of 23 sailfish and a 350lb blue marlin. They said the fishing was slow compared to normal, but we were very excited...

By far the best fishing trip I have been on. All aspects of this trip were better than I anticipated right from the start. Flying from NY City to Guatemala was a breeze with a 50 min.Layover in Atlanta, just enough time to stretch our legs and get a cup of mud. When we landed in Guatemala Captain Chris was waiting...

From the beginning our experience with Blue Bayou was beyond expectations. Chris was very attentive and helpful when organizing our stay, responding to emails within hours, providing us with important information and ensuring we'd be set up with the appropriate gear. It was reassuring that the first leg of our trip to a new region would have all the logistics...

My fiance wanted to take me to catch sailfish for my 30th birthday. We decided on Guatemala; the bite is one of the best in the world and the country was supposed to be beautiful also (it was). We decided to book with Blue Bayou because he (Chris) was very informative and helpful during the planning stages of the trip....

Our experience at Casa Starrs was beyond delightful!!! This is the perfect way to do Antigua. Patricia and Chris were incredibly kind and accomodating. Their place is so beautiful and charming, and we could not have enjoyed our stay more- they are the perfect B&B hosts. The rooms are private, and in a seperate wing of the house. The rooftop...

My buddy Dan and I live in Wisconsin and wanted to take a trip to sailfish country for the obvious unreal fishing. We booked a 3 day fishing trip with Chris who's from Michigan and bilingual. This was a big help since we don't know a lick of Spanish. He picked us up from the very nice airport in the...
