This review is for several stays over the years. I first came to Antigua several years ago and stayed for a few nights at PTS, then took off traveling through CA for a year or so. Came back and Fernando recognized me right away. That second stay I ended up staying for seven months! The owners treated me like family,...

A quiet hostel some four blocks away from the central park. I was dropped off directly by the shuttle from Guate airport, the driver knew how to find it easily. My room was a single one on the first floor with shared bathroom (though there was only one on the floor). Breakfast is included and the staff is very nice...

I landed alone in Guatemala city and took a taxi straight to this hostel, traveling alone for the first time ever. Raul greeted me when I arrived in the night, it was dark and he was very kind and welcoming. I booked the room via booking and got a single room which was actually double (two beds) for 60Q a...

A Place to Stay is run by amazing staff. The owner, Raul, takes in stray animals in need, and even helps the neighbor's distressed pets. I loved hanging out with the cats and even a bunny! After staying here for two nights, I told a friend who found a kitten to bring it to Raul and he accepted it excitedly...

Loved this hostel. Such nice people, a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend it ! Got directed to this place by a man just after coming of the bus. The market is right by where you can find good deals on food. Will for sure stay there again.

I immediately felt at home at this cosy hostel. The owner is really ambitious about all his guests and makes you feel like you are part of a family there. After a long trip I was so happy to arrive there and ended up to stay there for almost a month. Of course, if you are allergic to cats its...

This is a good option for people looking to avoid the party hostel scene without spending an arm and a leg. Hot showers and comfortable beds, though they seem to use sheets one size to small that don't stay in very well. Lots of pets everywhere that can sneak into your room if you leave the door open so just...

We absolutely LOVED this place. Arriving with no pre-arranged hostel, a man near the bus station personally walked us here... And we KNEW within minutes that we would stay here for awhile... A month to be exact :). We were warmly welcomed and respectfully informed about the 3 simple rules. . In that time we had 4 huge family BBQ's...

A friend told us to stay there and it was not a bad choice at all. The owner was waiting for us when we arrived and everything was clean. Cats hang around but they belong to the house and they are very clean. Free great breakfast every morning!

A very relaxed hostel, with a very relaxed atmosphere. On arrival I asked about adding a night the answer "don't worry about it." When I went to pay the answer "Are you leaving? No, then pay when you check out." The beds are hard but I slept well and for the price nobody can complain. Decent wi fi, chill out...
