If you love history, this hotel is for you. Stunning is an understatement. Beautifully restored convent buildings, gardens & artifacts. Rooms are beautiful, pick one overlooking the gorgeous gardens. Hotel is quiet with plenty of grounds to explore the history of Antigua - right on property. Beautiful antique and contemporary art throughout. Do your research beforehand, website & staff not...

To celebrate my husbands significant birthday, we decided to splurge and stay 2 nights at Casa Santo Domingo. Our standard room was comfortable, cozy, with a fireplace, balcony overlooking one of many beautiful courtyards, and other nice room amenities. We had wanted to stay the last two nights of our week long trip, but could only get in the first...

A complete hotel with a variety of type rooms surrounded by private church, museums, garden, fountains and restaurants...with friendly service and 1500-1600 ambiance. Just make sure to ask for a room with air conditioning!

It was a magnificent trip. My parents, brother and relatives decided to go to Antigua Guatemala for three days. We spent those days at the Rancho bungalow from Casa Santo Domingo - Santo Domingo del Cerro. The place is beautiful and stunning. Full of gardens, nature, in the middle of several museum exhibitions and artsy creations. This part of Casa...

Simply the best hotel for the money I have ever stayed at. Remodelled Monestary that has kept all its old charm. Candles lighting the way with very relaxing music around much of the resort. Very nice, large, warm pool. Both meals we ate at the restaurant were fantastic. The best brunchI have ever had! We could picture monks staying in...

Casa Santo Domingo is a must-do while visiting Antigua, whether you stay at the hotel/resort or simply pay a visit to their museums (which are some of the best in the country). Staying at the hotel is like taking a step back in time or like sleeping overnight in a museum. They have done a meticulous job at preserving the...

This is an excellent hotel. The staff is courteous and helpful. The hotel is spread out over an immense piece of land with ruins, crypts and fountains. It took us half a day to simply wander around the grounds and visit the various museums on the property. The restaurant is good, but not outstanding. As good as any other restaurant...

Hands down, best spa experience I've had. Gorgeous pools, jacuzzi nestled in large caves that look like they're surrounded by ruins, delicious food and drinks delivered poolside (try the basil panna cotta!), little chocolates and fruit-infused water self-served by the jacuzzis, and attentive staff! Ahhhhh, heaven!!! I am totally FLOORED by the beauty and magic of this place. Everywhere you...

The setting of the hotel is amazing and definitely worth a visit. I thought the room itself was nice but overpriced for what you get. A five star hotel should have A/C. I doubt I would stay in the hotel again, but you can visit without being a guest.

Lovely luxury hotel with elegant Spanish colonial style furnishings. The hotel was built around the ruins of a convent, and the blend is beautiful, especially in the gardens. The hotel has a perfect view of the volcano from the courtyard. This place is an oasis.
