Great Hotel With all amenities I highly recommend you make reservations in advance , Restaurant is great we had to wait a few minutes even if we were guests at hotel. Beautiful place if not the best hotel in Antigua. Visit the museums and art all over the place.

This is probably my favorite hotel in my favorite city. The hotel sits atop the ruins of a monastery. You sleep with decades of history. Don't miss the complimentary tour of the grounds & museums to understand exactly how precious this property is. Even the "standard" room is first class as is the entire staff. At different stations throughout there...

The hotel has a lovely garden and pool and is interesting in that it is a former convent and has a museum attached to it. Staff were attentive and courteous and meals were superb. all in all, a highly recommendable place in which to stay or have a meal when visiting the adjacent museum.

The hotel grounds are great with a lot of vegetation. The convent/hotel, has been restored. The wedding/food etc was fabulous. If you expect Mexican type of food, you will be disappointed. Guatemalan food is better ( my opinion). We rented a van from Hertz located in the complex for 12 of us and did our own tour with the help...

You can stay at this gorgeous hotel. We didn't stay but we did spend some time exploring the grounds. There are a lot of ruins still standing, that the hotel has incorporated into their current design. It's very impressive! You must go an try some chocolate from the on-site chocolate shop. There's some wonderful art to be seen there also....

On our first full day in Antigua we visited the Museums at Casa Santa Domingo. The archeology and art work from the colonial period were excellent. We especially enjoyed the theater space which had and perhaps still is used for religious ceremonies. Chocolates and silver and modern art works made the visit even more memorable.

Rarely been in a place like that: the combination of the old ruins refurbished and integrated into a modern and state of the art hotel with big and cosy, colonial style rooms with all high quality facilities you need, an excellent restaurant, Spa, business meeting and conference facilities ... and first of all: an excellent friendly service everywhere. When ever...

If you want to relax and have an exclusive or unforgettable experience in Antigua, this is not the place to stay. Nice to see it for its history and bit of colonial architecture which is left, but the hotel is not 5 stars as it claims to be and certainly does not seem to care much about its guests but...

It is disheartening to know that even though we tried to compensate you by giving you an upgrade to another room we weren't able to please you. The charge for the bottled waters, as explained on each bottle, is donated 100% and doubled with matching funds to a program which supports two public schools where low-income children attend and to...

One could not ask for more genuine set up for a hotel in this ancient city. In addition the rooms are spacious with a wood fire place. Just avoid the Sushi restaurant. Simply terrible. Highly recommended hotel besides the food !!!

We stayed there during our honeymoon. This is a wonderful and luxurious historical hotel in the centre of Antigua. It was perfection, from the great rooms, nicely decorated, spotless and comfortable, to the hotel facilities, which were really worldclass. The gardens around the hotel are just beautiful, and there are also some interesting things to see, from ruins of a...
