I stayed at La Sin Ventura on a complete whim and I have to say - the photos online absolutely do not do justice to how cozy and nice this place is. Each room has thoughtful touches like a clothing dry rack, a shelf for toiletries in the bathroom, a full closet (with hangers!), plenty of soap, towels, and toilet paper, and a nice hot shower. There is also a beautiful coworking space and terrace with beautiful 360 views (perfect for watching fireworks!). The staff was what really made this place for me, kindly providing me with extra blankets, moving me to a different room when I had particularly noisy neighbors, and overall being extremely welcoming and accommodating. They also take COVID protocols seriously and I felt very safe while there. For a place that is literally feet from the Central Park, at a "budget hotel" price, Sin Ventura is unbeatable!

I stayed at La Sin Ventura on two occasions this month, first for 3 nights and then for a short overnight stay. Both times I had the same room - small, simple, basic but ever so comfortable and quiet. I didn’t hear a thing from the outside or other guests.

I had my washing done and it was good value. Reception staff always smiling and willing to help. A special star goes to the guy at the little cafe downstairs. I’m returning.

but that’s all the plus points already for this hotel. The central location to Plaza Mayor another. This couldn’t be better.

Booked a room with two beds but changed on arrival to a room with one bed. Expected the bed to be larger but it’s the same size as the rooms with two beds. Rooms with two beds are much larger. Our room was around 3 meters x 4 meters facing door and window like the other rooms to a tiled inside walking passage. You can’t see if it’s raining or not, plus the noise in the night from other guests. No air condition so you need to keep windows to the main floor open. No TV but free Wi-Fi was available. Hotel arranged for airport transfer in the early hours.

A safe place, a nice bed and bathroom, that's all I needed. You can go there by bike and keep it with you in your room.
They warn you that there might be some noise because of bars around, but I haven't had any major problem with that.
(yes, there's also a parking lot, but that's extra)

Located right in the middle of everything. Really nice staff, different size rooms for whatever your preference. Rooms in the back away from the club are quiet, but don't have great wifi. Rooms close to reception have great wifi, but it's noisy from the club. Would absolutely stay again!!! I originally booked 1 night and ended up staying for 4.

I would have to agree with some of the cons; a little noisy at night, no window to the outside, small rooms, but none of that is uncommon, esp. in this price range. We left the wife'scell phone and charger iin the room when we left for Panajachel. We emailed the hotel desk and the manager said they would hold it for us,as we were coming back to Antigua before we flew out of Guatemala. So we spent another night at the hotel, received our 3AM wake up call. It is a well run and clean hotel with an excellent location and staff. And the roof top sitting area has a great 360 degree view if the city and surrounding volcanos.

When we arrived late on a Saturday night, our first impression was boy what's going on here! There's a bar downstairs and of course on a Saturday it was busy but then we went up the stairs to the hotel reception and it was extremely charming.
The rooms are basic but clean and the staff is great. The location is perfect, just a block away from the main square.
Loved Antigua and loved La Sin Ventura.

Clean hotel with basic necessities for a good price. Location could not be better.
Staff was friendly and building is safe.
I would recommend this hotel for couples or traveling solo.
Antigua is a gem itself. There is not a more charming place!

Coming from Tikal, we spent a few days in Antigua before heading to Lake Atitlan. We stayed at the Hotel La Sin Ventura. Arriving at about 6:30 in the morning, it wasn't a problem to check in and get settled. The room was ready and they were happy to have us.
We headed out pretty quickly to find a lovely place for breakfast just off of the town center. The hotel, is very close to some wonderful places to eat. Right next door is a great Korean place and downstairs is a nice place to grab coffee and a muffin for a quick breakfast.
Antigua is a small village so the hotel is very close to everything you'd like to see as well as several tour organizers and ATMs.
The staff was very nice, and accommodating. We had a very large, comfortable room with hot water and private bath for a very good price!
We would stay there again on another visit!

The location is amazing, the water in my private bathroom was hot (a rarity in Guatemala) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It can get a bit loud, but I didn't really have an issue with the noise. The staff are okay, but they aren't very helpful due to their limited English. Definitely recommended for the price, location, hot water and working wifi.
