Accomodation was very nice although a little bit too much Ikea-like and kitsh (black and white paintings, and so on). The location is great, but don't be affraid to feel as in Disneyworld if you come in high-season: the Diocletian Palace looks more like a tourist center than an old palace where you feel Roman atmosphere (a problem in Split... We arrived the beautifully located room/studio overlooking the palace and were totally amazed. We also were met with a friendly host who handed over the keys and did the necessary explanations. After settling in however, we started to see deeper into things and our impression changed. Don't get me wrong, the place is still fantastically located. What changed our opinion... More

We stayed at the room in Alješijeva street for 3 nights. Booked through booking.com. E-mail and mobile of the owner was given and I called the owner and met at a meeting point to be guided to the room. Ohterwise we would have great difficulties in finding the place. Lovely decoraction, clean and fresh. well equipped, comfy bed, coffe-tea-sugar and... More

We enjoyed staying in two pleasant little one-room apartments with kitchenette, a few minutes' walk from the centre of Split. Kitchen was very rudimentary, and no use if you wanted to make four course meals, but fine for coffee, sandwiches and the occasional family pasta. No bottle opener or corckscrew! Proximity to the old town meant we could choose to... More

Slap bang in the centre of Split, Dioclectian's Rooms is an ideal base for visitors who don't plan on spending much time resting! As we stepped off the airport shuttle bus, we were greeted by the most helpful owner, Mirko who walked us to the accommodation, which was just a 2 minute stroll from the waterfront. Mirko's in-the-know tips on... More

Upon arriving at Diocletian's Rooms in central Split, you suddenly realize you're at the center of thousands of years of history right at your doorstep. I can't stop thinking about how special this place is for the average traveler. Being that this is an apartment rental and not a hotel, you pay a great price for an amazing location with... More

Great room right in the centre of Split opposite Cathedral so if you don't like the sound of bells this is not for you. All very clean. We had the top room with balcony. No use if you cannot climb stairs with a case.

I stayed at the DIocletian's Rooms in May 2013 and had a very nice time. This hotel might not offer the amenities that you were expecting, but the location cannot be beat. Location: You are in the heart of the Diocletian's Palace. It couldn't be more central than this. Do you need/want to be this central? That is for each... More

Can't beat this room in Split. The price, location (you were right at the centre of Diocletian's Palace and square), and the staff were great. Stayed here late April 2012 for 5 nights Highly recommend. Communication with Diocletian rooms staff regarding our arrival was easy and promptly responded to.
