We arrived in Split and found the Diocletion Rooms with no trouble at all - right in the centre of the old town within the Diocletion Palace opposite the Cathedral in a lovely square behind the Tourist Information building. We knew we had to call the owner to meet us at the entrance to check in and get our keys....

We found limited reviews of this place and were not sure what to expect, but on arrival this small but very well appointed room right in the heart of the Diocletian's Palace area of Split (just off the Peristil) was exactly how it looked on the website. Spotlessly clean, the room was simply but tastefully furnished, had aircon, a window...

I stayed at the Diocletians Room in June 2010, it was better than anticipated, as there hadn't been any reviews my partner and I were not sure what to expect especially in light of some of the reviews - however it was really great! The rooms were clean the shower was powerful it had air con that worked and was...

If you are looking for a good value-for-money accommodation in an excellent location in Split, I strongly recommend you to stay in Diocletian's rooms. The apartment is located right in front of the Old Cathedral in Diocletian's palace, you cannot miss it. It is also five minutes walk from the port and the bus station. Rooms are very nicely decorated,...

We stopped here recently on our way back from Hvar and wanted a place to stay close to the ferry port and also to the bus station to get to the airport. The Diocletian's Rooms were ideally located, close to both, but as you would expect being so centrally located it was a little noisy and no double glazing. There...

When do you get the opportunity to stay in the middle of an ancient Roman palace? For me, it was a first. And such a wonderful experience that I will be back for sure! Diocletian's Rooms is located smack in the middle of Diocletian's Palace. Like, seriously right in the middle. That makes everything just mere steps away from you;...

We stayed at Diocletian's Rooms on two occasions within a week as we also took a trip from split over to the island of Hvar. The first stay we spent 2 nights in Porta Ferrea, we were so pleased with the room when we arrived as they are very clean and though it's an old building, has been spruced up...

The Diocletian Rooms have an amazing location, right at the centre of the tourist sites and in the most amazing part of Split. They are located immediately opposite Diocletian's Mausoleum, now the cathedral with its later tower, within the walls of Diocletian's old palace. Step out of the front door and you are immediately immersed in the Old Town, with...

“The rooms on the 3rd & 4th floors have better views, but it is a steep winding staircase, so if you aren't strong enough to carry your suitcase far then opt for the rooms on the 1st or 2nd floor.”
