Three couples stayed for stayed for two nights. Reception and restaurant staff were charming. I enjoyed breakfast which had variety and substance. We were the oldest of the three couples and had the smallest room which didn't come up to the size and standard of the others. Bathroom was was well equipped and while the bath/shower has bells and whistles it wasn't easy for everyone to climb in and out. The bed was too low and both of us banged heels and toes off it on several occasions. If I was 30 or 40 years younger it wouldn't have been an issue and I possibly should have known better. The location is indeed excellent and once one got one's bearings it was clear the hotel is very central for everything one would want to do.

We spent five days at the Heritage and could not have been more comfortable. Our room was a bit small (my wife joked that we could only open one suitcase at a time) but beautifully furnished and appointed. The location inside the palace was ideal for our purposes. A left turn out the front door takes visitors to Diocletian's cellars while a right turn leads to modern shops and restaurants, and the Game of Thrones Museum. The hearty breakfast buffet provided all the fuel we needed for a day of adventure and the staff was more than ready to meet every need. The Heritage would be my first choice if returning to Split.

The hotel isn’t easy to get to, so not recommended for elderly or disabled. However I enjoyed my stay, loved my room. I felt that the breakfasts could have been a bit better. The hotel could benefit from a lounge area to sit and relax.

We loved this hotel...its in the heart of the old city so you need to wheel your bag a bit to get to it, but its worth it. Loved the location, the hotel is well equipped with really nice rooms, breakfast is adequate and the people re really nice. If you are looking for a place thats handy to everything, especially if you are going on a cruise, then this is ideal.....we loved it

Hotels are very noisy. I was on top floor of main building and walls were made of some thin wood or cardboard close to housekeepers closet. Noise non stop. Any move from outside could be heard..... it made me super uncomfortable .
