Pros: spotlessly clean, loads of sunbeds spread out so dosent feel over crowded, bed super comfy, lovely gluten free breakfast choice and includes separate gf area with toaster. The pool has a bench in it and has a nice temperature. Towels provided for sunbathing. Cleaning and waiting staff very friendly and the bedrooms cleaned everyday with new bedclothes and towels. Fab air conditioning. Public bus across the road and easy access to the promenade

Con: reception staff hold back and could give a lot more information on arrival such as the breakfast and evening meal are served only in the same building, down 2 flights of stairs and across the path if your half board. They could easily point out the building from the reception area but they dont bother. The neptune bar by the pool has no food but the Blue, next door serves nice food at lunch time. It would be great if the pool bar sold crisps or fruit. They could also highlight the bus is no 6 to old town across the path.

Overall this has been a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the Royal Neptune dubrovnik

We stayed two weeks at the Royal Ariston, you can use all the resort facilities, we spent most of our time at the Hotel Blue’s sky pool area which is adults only and is open until 11pm.. All the facilities are clean and the staff are very professional and friendly, in particular Stefan at reception, Cesar on the omelette stand, the housekeeper of our room 3304 and 5 stars to Ivan and Savo at the Blue sky pool bar. I’d recommend paying extra for the full seaview (not partial where the trees are). We dined at both Restaurant Castile and Vista, the food was good - service was a little slow in Vista. Entertainment is provided most evenings with a live band, and if you’d like a shade from the heat, there’s a spa and gym. There’s a bus stop outside the hotel with buses running every 10mins to the old town for €2. My only negative comment is the price of food and drink which is very expensive.

My wife Jamie and I had the most magical honeymoon at the Royal Princess Hotel in Dubrovnik, and we simply cannot stop raving about our unforgettable experience we had last year. My sister had tagged along as our tour-guide while we were in Croatia and recommended we stay at the Royal Princess.

From the moment we stepped foot into this luxurious paradise until the last minute of our stay, everything was perfect.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. From the warm welcome at the reception to the attentive housekeeping team it really felt like we were welcomed with the most open of arms.

One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the boat trip with Captain Rob. His passion for the Adriatic coast was contagious, and his expertise ensured a smooth and enjoyable journey. We explored hidden coves, breathtaking islands, and secluded beaches, all while basking in the mesmerizing beauty of the sea. Captain Rob's personality added an extra layer of joy to the trip, making it an unforgettable adventure.
Do make sure you book a boat excursion with Captain Rob while you're at the hotel.

Our amazing room boasted an awe-inspiring sea view, creating a tranquil and idyllic atmosphere that set the stage for romance.

The food at the various restaurants was excellent and the endless amount of breakfast options was the perfect and most comforting start to our days.

We are returning this year to relive this dreamlike escape for my parents' 50th anniversary. Looking forward to them having some beautiful memories at this enchanting hotel too.

Thank you, Royal Princess, for making our honeymoon a fairytale come true!

Jamie and Mark

This time Royal Ariston almost the same like Royal Palm that I booked a year ago. Like the hotel for a big room, nice big bathroom including walk-in-shower that are not available in ordinary room in President Valmar. However, breakfast is just fine and extremely ordinary. If you don’t like loud British turists that occupied the bar and swimming pool as a private property don’t go there.

What a great location to enjoy the Pearl of Croatia, Dubrovnik. You have 5 hotels to choose from all accessible with a beautiful walkway. A variety of restaurants and buffet options. A 4K ride to the Old Town, there is a bus, Uber or their Limo service to get around. Great hospitality and service, very clean and friendly staff, always greeting you.
The room where I stayed had a small kitchenette and ocean view. It’s great to have access to all 5 hotels and their pools, bars and restaurants. Their is an event coordinator there as well to book any excursions and any information you need to make your stay enjoyable and to receive as much information about the old town.

Tom the Director loves to hear from their guests and comes around to know more about your experience. His staff is friendly and even the chef comes out to hear how the breakfast/ dinner was at the buffet. On the Rocks bar sets a nice way to have that drink or meal while looking over the Adriatic coast with boats and ships going by. Sunsets are breathtaking.

I highly recommend to come and experience and taste The Royal Hotels in Dubrovnik you have a choice of 5. 🇭🇷🌹❤️

Just back yesterday from a 4 night stay at this hotel which is plenty as there is absolutely nothing going on at this hotel. It is a nice hotel, not 5 star I would say internally it’s 3 star hotel but the amount of pools and lounge areas make it a 4 star hotel at a push. No supermarket which there should be at such a large resort. It’s not really I’m walking distance of anywhere unless you don’t mind walking 2km into lapad which has absolutely nothing going on in it either. The hotel is a nice place fantastic view but unless you want to sunbath for the duration of your stay you’ll be bored off your tits. It’s geared towards people of retirement age. It’s expensive compared to some destinations but compared to Dubrovnik itself it’s actually cheaper to eat and drink there. Food is average not a great menu. Zoe restaurant is the best but as far as I know the same kitchen serves all dining areas. Stay away from the buffet dinner €35 if you’ve haven’t booked it with your stay and there is nothing worth eating in there. It’s not a very vegetarian vegan or if you have allergies friendly type of place but neither is anywhere in Dubrovnik. It’s a place you would go to for a weekend. It’s a very over rated place. It’s not a luxurious destination I’ve stayed in many luxurious destinations and this is a 3star resort and a 3 star city. It’s beautiful to see the place but in terms of service for tourists below par. It’s also falling apart outside of the old town. Looks derelict. Nothing going on. A few houses. Most are derelict. A very safe place though. Very clean. The men are very nice and friendly the women leave a lot to be desired. Very ignorant any women we encountered up there own backsides. Pretty place just nothing happening in the entire place.

From the moment you walked into the reception area I was already blown away the spectacular view of the sea front and it was only a sign of great things to come. The Hotel was very clean, staff was extremely friendly and helpful to all your needs. Room was spacious and really surprised with the size of the bathrooms, well done. What can I say about the food, at the dinner buffet you had a different variety every night, and there was plenty of delicious options to choose from.

I really enjoyed the fact that the resort was only a 10min bus ride/car to Old Towne. (Bus stop literally 2min walk from the front of the hotel). The location is perfect with a beautiful boardwalk along the sea coast you can jog in the morning or just take a leisurely walk and enjoy the stunning view of what Dubrovnik had to offer along the coast line. Your choice of swimming into the sea or choosing one of the many amazing pools the resort had was incredible, infinity pool and the rooftop pool was one of my favorites. I highly recommend this resort and would definitely come back it was a dream trip in Croatia staying at a dream resort.

We stayed at the Royal Ariston Hotel Dubrovnik for a few nights early May. The hotel has a prime location being steps away from the Adriatic Sea. We didn’t realise until arriving that the hotel was part of the Royal Hotels and Resort group, as in there are 3 hotels very close to each other that are serviced with the same amenities ( you can use all and each) examples are
The roof top bar and pool which is an adults only area. This was a very spacious area with an infinity pool. Spectacular views of course! The breakfast room, the restaurants and the pools. All were extremely good.
It is a great hotel which deserves its 5 star rating and great value for money. All of the staff we came in contact with were extremely polite and went out of their way to help you. We paid extra for a ‘Luxury room’ which had a large patio looking out to sea. The room was very spacious and it was evident that it had been recently refurbished with quality, named fixture and fittings. We had requested a high floor and was given the top (5th) floor. It was perfect. The view was spectacular. Pay extra for this type of room and you won’t be disappointed. Just remember to ask for floor 4 or 5.
Breakfast times were accommodating for all 6:30-10:30. The food was varied and plentiful. And could even ask for individual cooked eggs, whichever way you wanted them. The service was extremely efficient and everything was kept looking clean and replenished.
There is a local bus service to and from the old town just minutes away from the hotel. It runs every 15-20 mins and is about £2 each way. Ideal for visiting the town day or night.
There are a couple of great walks along the coast and promenade with fab sights of the cruise ships that dock down in the peninsula of Lapad.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and would say that it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in taking all the above into account. If you visit, you will not be disappointed.

It is important to say that it is not a beach hotel. It is on the edge of the sea but on rocks and what is there are a few holes between the rocks to sunbathe.
The biggest problem is that in August there are 1000 souls and it is an anthill for everything, impossible to take a hammock or a decent place to sunbathe since people are allowed to take the umbrellas at 8 in the morning and no longer release them all day even if they are not (and that hotel rules do not allow it)
Meal prices are expensive but along the lines of Dubrovnik restaurants that are already insane...
The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the service is good

Very nice but could be better.
The positives - lovely location, nice promenade walk to busier area with shops, bars and restaurants. Rooms spotless, lovely comfy bed.
Reception staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Bus stop near hotel, only €2 into old town with buses every ten minutes.

Negatives ~ there are two gyms available for use, I like to do a little yoga stretch on holiday. The mats in both gyms were not really fit for purpose, dirty, holes in the thicker mats, so unhygienic. The gym with the worst mats were at the Royal Spa, hoping to attach a photo.

Breakfast was good, fresh eggs, omelettes, ours was served in La Castile, friendly obliging staff.
For dinner we had to go to the Royal Terrace restaurant. Food was very repetitive, salad area all the usual stuff, which was of a reasonable standard. Mains - steamed cold tasteless vegetables, mixed meat often unlabelled, sometimes you had to guess, had themed food nights but really not much changed, other than bbq night. One of the waiters, name started as Tom… was quite rude at times, others more friendly.
One of the highlights for me was a Thai Massage with Sha Sha, really
Good massage and €75 for 70 mins which was really good value.
The hotel was lovely and quiet, possible due to being near the end of season, lots sun loungers available.

Dear Mrs. Julie, Thank you for your question. We would like to inform you that there are 3 on-site restaurants; Mediterraneo Restaurant, Zoe Restaurant and La Castile Restaurant, as well as 3 bars. Should you continue down the boardwalk in front of the resort, in around 15 minutes (walking distance), you will arrive to Lapad Bay, an area with numerous restaurants, bars and shops. In case you would have any further questions or would require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us via private message. I don't know for the rest of the resort but hotel Neptun has a nice indoor pool attached to gym with a sauna and haman (steam) spa right above it. However, the restaurants are not directly attached to the hotel but they are about 100 to 200 meters from the nearest exist.
