The hotel was great for a family with a 2 year old and five year old. We had a double room as that was all that was available at last minute, however this accommodated us well with the five year old on the sofa bed and the 2 year old in the travel cot supplied with bedding by the hotel. We also borrowed the hotel pram for a trip in to Dubrovnik and to nap our two year old which was provided readily and free of charge. There is a wonderful view from the hotel looking out on to the beach and sea, and you can watch the boats sailing in and out. The beach is only a short walk down from the hotel and is not a difficult walk at all as described by other reviewers. Our children enjoyed seeing the resident cats that roam outside the hotel and have little cat houses which you can see on the walk to Maro World. We visited Maro world a couple of times during our stay which occupied the children well. We spent family time building things and our children also enjoyed the Maro Club facilities. Dubrovnik old town is easily reached via the number 6 bus. The bus stop is on the main road to the right of the hotel junction. We purchased our tickets in the hotel shop. We also purchased floats for the children from the hotel shop which the children had lots of fun with in the pool and loved the slides going in to the splash pool. Sun loungers and parasols were always available at different times of the day. We had the Sunny breakfast/brunch and dinner. The breakfast is varied and plentiful, however there was not a lot of food to accommodate a lactose intolerant child. There were no dairy free desserts apart from fruit and no dairy free butter. Also another major let down for our dairy free child was there were no ice lollies for sale only ice creams containing dairy. Another major issue for us was smoking at the hotel, you had to pass a smoking area to walk down to the pool and people are allowed to smoke around the pool. As this is a family friendly hotel I would expect it to be non smoking hotel. A recommendation to those travelling to the area is to be armed with mosquito repellents, there was no issue in our room but in the hotel lobby and restaurant especially we got bitten a lot. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was very accommodating for families and worth the cost of the holiday.

Some things are really great. Kids love the huge indoor play area. This indoor area is really unique. There is a disco or a little show each evening. The staff there is really friendly. The rooms are indeed rather small. There are different kinds of rooms. Some fully renovated, some looking rather tired. You have to be a bit lucky to get a nice room. Some rooms have enough storage (though wardrobes without shelves seem a bit odd for a hotel), some don't. There are quite some things in the hotel which are slightly damage and not repaired (tiles, carpets...).
In general, it is a great place for kids. But to really make it worth the money, there must be more attention to detail and cleanliness.

Perfect family holiday in a fabulous location. There were 5 of us aged from 12 to 75 and everyone had a great time here. Hotel is in a beautiful location for views and also fabulous for access to all tourist sites, including the old town and airport. Ubers come within minutes and are more reasonably oriced than in the UK. Rooms are fresh, bright and quiet. Whole hotel is spotlessly clean and food is fantastic for a three star hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and efficient. The pool area is great for kids and the beach is 5 mins walk away at most. We had a great time and can recommend this hotel wholeheartedly to any couple or family. Our only niggle was the lack of tap water at dinner. Not only was it not available for some strange reason ( there was a dispenser at breakfast but not at dinner!) but the queue to buy water or any other drink was very long which was not only frustrating when you were in the queue, it was also difficult to navigate around. About half the people in the queue were buying water so this could have been avoided! We ended up taking refillable water bottles down to dinner with us which we filled in advance from the bathroom tap. Our only issue all holiday though so other than that, five stars from us! Thank you Sunny for such a great introduction to Croatia!

Everything was perfect. The hotel location is unique, with a stunning view on the sea and few steps away from the beach. The pool is fantastic, our kids were playing all the time there, especially on the water slides. The beach is public and you can bring your own parasol and towels there, no need to rent the sunbeds. The food was very good and there is enough variety of fish and meat every day, the brunch until 1pm and dinner from 7pm combination works very well, our kids were never hungry outside those hours. The restaurant was never too crowded and there is a lot of staff working there. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, a special mention for the free bottle of wine received in occasion of my wife's birthday, that was an unexpected and a very pleasant present, thank you very much. The atmosphere is in general very relaxed and quiet, we were the loudest family around and I felt sorry about that :). The combination of the two rooms in one with communicating doors called "superior room for 4+2" is an excellent solution for a family and it worked very well for us 6 people. We were 3 people in one room and 3 in the other with enough privacy and the 2 rooms were big enough. The air conditioning worked very well and the beds were very comfortable so we slept very well. Maro world is simply exceptional, my kids would have spent the entire holiday there and it's for free! I woumd strongly recommend this hotel, especially for family with kids

This is very much a 3* hotel, but certain aspects feel like less than that. The staff are all friendly and helpful, but the hotel is a little tired, we came here for my sons sake and he enjoyed himself so that’s all that really matters but I do feel like it is very overpriced for what is offered, especially in terms of the room. The room is very small and dated, it resembles a basic travelodge room. the bathrooms in particular need a revamp. Nothing is offered in the room at all apart from towels and your standard shampoo / body wash. A fridge would be nice, and the aircon does not get cold enough for the august heat. We also found long dark hairs all around the room which must have belonged to the previous guests. People in previous reviews were not exaggerating about the pillows, they really are bad, even when using two, we have all left with stiff necks, please invest in some better ones 😩.

We spent a week here as a family of 5 (children aged 9, 7 and 3). It was a fantastic holiday. Our hotel room was a standard family room (2 connecting rooms). It was on the ground floor with a park view but we found it very dark as we were in a corner with no sun view. The room was a little tired, with a constant damp smell, but the small problems we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. And, actually, it’s quite nice not to have to worry about a pristine room and three kids.
The pool area is great and, although very busy, never felt cramped. Sun beds were easy to get in the morning and there were helpful staff ready to help with umbrellas. Towels are 2EURs to rent each. My kids enjoyed the slides but we thought it was a little strange to have them land in the middle of the baby pool. Overall it was easy to manage three kids when the whole pool area is in view.
The food was great. We appreciated the open restaurant between breakfast and lunch and made sure to take lunch before 13:00. Although the choices were not the most exciting it was well-made, tasty and plenty of it. My kids ate well every meal and I really appreciated the salads. The produce felt fresh and well-prepared. And, not least, the staff were efficient, polite and kept things moving.
Maro world… amazing! We were blown away by the facilities at Maro world. There has been a lot of thought and money invested in to this area and we loved it. Our kids made the most of all evening entertainment and especially loved cinema night and the clown. Our eldest two also enjoyed the club - the staff were knowledgeable and friendly and I really trusted them with my kids. It allowed them to escape the sun for a few hours a day to be creative.
On the last day we invested in a day on Coral beach (a little bit further down from Copacabana beach). It was well worth it and a real treat to end our holiday.

We are actually staying at the hotel at present for 11 nights. On arrival I was a little shocked to arrive that because we arrived at 10am we weren’t allowed to have the breakfast/brunch and have to wait for dinner. We had to wait for our room at 2pm and room is clean but it’s very small and has no storage, no fridge, no kettle. Oh how I miss my cup of tea in the early afternoons. I had to repair the locker drawer as that was hanging off. The sun loungers are sparse and you have to get there early or they are all gone and if you do happen to find one it’s one of those plastic hard loungers that hurt my back so have had to resort to getting up earlier than I do on a work day to get a sun lounger. Such a shame. If I owned the hotel the first thing I would do is put fridges in the rooms, add a cupboard of drawers and buy new sun loungers for guests. The plastic ones scream cheap and cheerful hotel and maybe that’s what this hotel wants to be. The lack of room storage means my clothes are still in my case pushed under the bed. The staff however are friendly and it’s very clean. The pool is lovely as is the view from the pool to the beach. I think the breakfast/brunch idea is sort of ok but I don’t often want to eat a “lunch” at 12. Especially if you only finished breakfast at 10. It takes getting used to. That being said the food is not as good as I had read in some reviews. Don’t get me wrong you can find things to eat but the choice is limited. Kids would probably struggle if you are looking for chicken nuggets and fries. In fact haven’t seen any fries in the week we have been here. Quite strange for a family hotel. Overall it’s a great base for exploring, there are so shops next to Maro world and some nice places to eat and we have now just decided to eat out every evening as I was struggling to find food I liked. The hotel is close to the no6 bus and we catch the bus to Lapad and eat out every night now. Maro world is brilliant and the kids would love it. If management happen to read please consider fridges in rooms and maybe a chest of drawers. A kettle would be lovely also. Many people love a cup of tea/coffee at the end of the day and it’s nice to have that facility in your room. Also please get rid of the plastic loungers especially the broken ones.
