The idea is nice, but badly organised! They only care about foreigner tourists, being Romanian I had the feeling I was invisible for the stuff there. They ”forgot” to tell us about the fact that the dinner should be ordered in advance (a few hours or days? earlier), we had to wait about 30 minutes for them to make a...

I have just stayed in the Hotel of Ice and had a wonderful weekend! I travelled with a group of friends via Untraveled Paths. It was all very well organised. The staff at the hotel were very inviting and the scenery was breath taking. The trip up to the hotel on the cable car gave you 360 vision of all...

I visited the Hotel of Ice in February and It was a delight. Located way up in the mountains the scenery was amazing. I loved the fact that every room had a different theme and a different character made out of Ice. the hall was impressive an the ice furniture was outstanding. This is a once in a life time experience. Considering you were sleeping in an ice room, on the ice bed, in a mountain isolated from the chalet while it was -17 outside with blizzards. You were given access to a room in the chalet before 9pm (when you are able to move to your room as it's closed for...

We were under no illusion that this would be a luxurious and comfortable nights stay and it wasn't! It was however an experience and exactly what we had prepared for, to say that you have stayed in an ice hotel is a great accomplishment. It was great fun! We did feel that there should be someone on hand to stop...

Visited here in March with family through Secret Transylvania from the moment we stepped off the plane we knew we'd made the right choice to visit Romania. We were a little disappointed a few days before travelling as Di informed us we were unable to stay in the ice hotel as it was starting to melt due to the unusual...

We stayed in the hotel at the start of this year. It was hard to get to with the weather but we had a great taxi driver that dropped us off and collected us for a incredible price considering we came from Brasov. The cable car up to the hotel was an experience itself (I don't do well with heights!)...

We absolutely loved it in the Ice hotel. We went with untravelled paths who i would recommend booking with. We spent one night in the hotel, which personnally was enough for me, just for the experience. Not a problem for us, but if you tend to need the toilet in the night, be aware you have to get dressed in...

“Our rooms were allocated for us as we had the whole place booked out for New Year, but usually travellers can choose which one they want. The rooms furthest from the door to the outside are probably slightly warmer but are closer to the bar. The bar does not stay open late however so unless u want to go to bed very early then noise should not be a problem. This year the theme were the star signs, so I had the Libra room which was lovely. The two middle rooms are the biggest and my favourite was the Leo room with two beautiful Ice Lions either side of the bed.”
