The building that hosts the hotel is a monument dating back to 1477, being documented as one of the first three buildings to have been erected on the central square. The same love and attention to detail has been given to its restoration and renovation, all the rooms having been minutely decorated with antique furniture, yet equipped with modern amenities. The hotel rooms are all with en-suite bathrooms, colour cable TV, internet connection, telephone and minibars.

This Hotel is an absolute gem, located right on Brasov Old town sq we could not have asked for a better location to explore this wonderful old town. The rooms we had were warm and comfortable, with a splendid buffet breakfast included. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful all we can say is we really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Casa Wagner is in a historic building on Brasov's main square. I enjoyed my stay in the heart of the old city. My room was under the eaves and had twin beds, wardrobe, small refridge, flat screen TV. The attached bath room had a shower, sink, toilet and heated towel rack. The WiFi signal was OK in my room. Beds were comfortable, and the area surprisingly quiet at night. The breakfast buffet offered cereal (2 kinds), orange juice, yogurt, fresh fruit, freshly baked rolls, cold cuts, cheese, salads (tomatoes, cukes, olives) eggs, coffee and tea. I thought that the hotel offered excellent value for the price of the rooms, considering its location, generous breakfast and quiet, comfortable sleep.

Lovely hotel, right on Brasov main square. Don't be fooled by the small entrance, this hotel is huge! The room was very large, had two single beds and a double bed upstairs, large corner bath, 2 TV's and a handy mini bar, with drinks and snacks at a very good price, we could see the famous Brasov sign out of the windows. The place was spotless clean and nice and warm.
Only downside was the breakfast, we paid extra for breakfast at the hotel restaurant to save a bit of time in the morning but it was a disappointment, not much there and all the cooked food was freezing cold as were the hot drinks. Cold eggs and cold coffee is not a good start to anyone's day. There were some lovely cafés on the square, we wished we tried one of them.

Room Tip: Try out one of the local cafes for breakfast, the hotel breakfast is not good.

The location on the Piața Sfatului couldn't be better with some rooms overlooking the Lowry activity in the square below. The rooms are fine. This is very much a tourist hotel with a decent buffet breakfast. The age of the building precludes a lift, so be prepared to carry cases up two or three flights of stairs. Reception very helpful.

Check-in was fine, I was advised of breakfast times, how to use the key fob for entry into the property and then I was shown to my room.

The room was light and airy and quite large, the traditional furniture enhanced the feeling of spaciousness and the balcony was big. The bed was very comfortable, there was a large wardrobe with a good amount of storage space, the TV had 160 channels which was a bonus. There was also a fridge, efficient aircon and the wifi worked well.
The bathroom was good with a powerful shower, sachets of shower gel with very good quality, toothbrush and toothpaste and soap dispenser provided.

Breakfast was good.

WE stayed overnight in November. This is a very unusual but noce place and it very well located on the central square.

Our room was spacious clean and had a nice view. Teh straff was helpful and friendly.

As noted there is no lift but the stairway is good. We ll set up and and stable and the staff will carry your bags up is this is an issue.

Breakfast was fairly good.

I'd rate this a luxury in terms of space and furnishings but luxury hotels usually charge a lot for breakfast and WiFi and they don't.

We had a driver who dropped up off and picked us up and selected the place so we did not deal with parking but he drove up the front door to pick us up.

The staff is very nice and friendly. The room is large and very clean. The view... Well, the view deserve all the money. We had a double room with city view. The hotel has a restaurant where you can take your breakfast or simply drink a glass a wine. I totally recommend it.

I have returned to the property after a few years and I found it, once again, to be a top stay. The location cannot be beat and I appreciated the staff's kindness and friendliness (in particular the possibility to have an early check in). The room (number 6, which also had air conditioning) was practically huge for one person although someone on the larger side may struggle a little with the bathroom. For a larger group/extended stay, to take into account that this particular room did not have a wardrobe or a safe. The breakfast was modest but tasty, the coffee was very good. Room was cleaned every day.

Dreadfully noisy. If you wish to sleep past 6am do not stay here, particularly rooms 5,6,31 and 39 which are on the corridor leading to the breakfast area. Perhaps we were unlucky but, given the age of the building I suspect it’s noisy throughout.

The hotel is central to the square in Brasov. The hotel is clean and tidy. My main issue with the hotel was the lack of information when we arrived. We ate every lunch time and night in the restaurant and booked through reception on our last night we were told in the restaurant we should have received a discount card for the meals we received in the restaurant. This was never offered to us even tho we booked through reception. We found the staff to be very abrupt and unfriendly. Location is perfect, rooms are comfortable. Pity about reception not being helpful

Hi, in my room there was an AC device, although I haven't tested it, as it was winter. I would not worry about the heat, anyway. You'll be in the mountains and the hotel is in an old villa with very thick walls :-) Cheers, Andreea

On the far side of the plaza there is parking if you go round the roundabout above the hotel and come back down. The parking officer takes your ticket (not expensive), and it is free overnight.
