Set overlooking the confluence of the Mekong and Khan rivers and adjacent to the landmark Wat Xiang Thong, the MRH has a locational edge that higher rated, branded properties in LP can only dream of. Yet management isn't complacent with that advantage and room and service standards are world class in my view, an exceptional achievement for an independently owned...

There are much cheaper nice accomodations in LP. We realized after arriving that we could have been more cost effective in our choice of hotels. Having said that, I don't regret staying here at all because this is a fantastic hotel. We had an upstairs riverfront room and it was gorgeous. Wood ceiling and beautiful large wood balcony overlooking the...

Located at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers this 24 room hotel is absolute waterfront outlook over a patch of water that is at the source of Laos history and mythology. The restaurant that has specialised in Laos traditional cooking for a decade is perched in a garden atop a cliff overlooking the river. There are many...

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! The owner greeted us on arrival, after a harrowing day riding bikes on the roads of the Mekong. The house wines were wonderful, and we would have liked to have stayed longer than one day.

We spent three days, four nights here in a ground floor riverview room. Shared a superior room with our teenage daughter (extra bed added). Nice exterior porch with view of flowers and river. Beautiful! Best location in Luang Prabang -- short walk to just about everything but away from the crowds. Breakfast (can order hot dishes and help yourself to...

We chose this hotel specifically for the balconies overlooking the river- one of our party was unable to walk far and we wanted a spot to relax with a view. It was perfect for us and I'm so glad we chose it. Rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished with wonderful beds and a separate shower and toilet. Balconies are large...

What a great place to stay. Peter & staff could not do enough for us. Cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, facing the Mekong. I would recommend this hotel to any person visiting Luang Prabang.

The Mekong Riverview Hotel is perched on the corner of the Mekong River and the views across the river from breakfast are fantastic! We stayed here for 3 nights in December and we really enjoyed it as our 1st stay in Laos. The hotel offers free bike hire to explore the city - cycling a perfect way to slowly explore...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a beautiful boutique hotel with a personal touch, located on the tip of the peninsula, at the very end of the old town, on the UNESCOs World Heritage Area. The view you have from the rooms and Café/Restaurant is the meeting of great Mekong River and Nam Khan River. The Hotel is quiet and peaceful with the beautiful former Royal temple Wat Xienthong as your neighbor. ... more   less
