Manichan Guesthouse is a perfect sized guesthouse, in a great location for both getting sleep at night and exploring by day. The rooms are modest and clean, and have everything you need, and the central outdoor communal area has nice big tables to retire at, write journals or skype family, and free tea/coffee/water, which was a nice surprise. The morning...

Manichan Guesthouse was recommended to us a by a friend. My husband and I spent seven nights and loved it! We were greeted by Ali upon arrival. He walked us through recommendations for the city and gave us a few tips of his own. The free coffee, tea and drinking water were so clutch. We're spoiled now! I'm very surprised...

My husband and I (couple in our 50s) stayed at Manichan for a few days and had a wonderful time. The guesthouse is in a central location and easy to walk to everything. The room was superb - clean, well presented, with ensuit, air con and fan. In fact we didn't need air con as place was so cool. Our...

My husband and I stayed at Manichan Guesthouse for seven nights 23 June - 2 July. The room in the guesthouse was clean, the ensuite bathroom was sparkling, and the host was both helpful yet unobtrusive. The breakfast were delicious and filling, with fresh fruit, warm bread and jam and a choice of eggs or pancakes. The location of the...

We felt really at home. Ali the acting manager is doing a sterling job; really friendly, helpful and kind. We were very impressed with this accommodation and...

I chose Manichan based on the excellent reviews here, and I wasn't disappointed. As a solo traveler, I wanted a comfortable place where I could both meet other people but also have some privacy, and Manichan was perfect. I stayed in room 9 upstairs, which had fan and A/C - both worked wonderfully. The shared bathroom was clean and incredibly...

We stayed here for our two days in Luang Prabang and this ranks among our favorite guesthouses in Southeast Asia. First among the positive aspects of the guesthouse was the breakfast. It consisted of a large bowl of fresh fruit, a large basket of freshly baked breads, homemade jam, homemade yogurt, and eggs cooked to order. It was all delicious...
