The hotel sits at the top of a hill with super views over the city. The rooms are spacious and have a nice balcony but our room smelled of damp despite having an effective ac. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The hotel sits about 20 minutes from the city centre. It's all uphill on the way back.

We fell in love with this excellent and charming hotel in Luang Prabang. This hotel is wonderful! The views are amazing and it is built so that everyone can see some kind of view of the mountains and surrounding city below. I also LOVE how hard they work (thanks if large part to their GM John!) to make the hotel more eco-friendly. They write all about their efforts in the booklet in the...

We stayed there for a few days and really appreciated the service and the New Years Eve gala. The Management put in a lot of effort for the gala and we really enjoyed the evening. There were a lot of performances and food options. Overall service throughout the stay was also very good. We stayed at a pool villa and...

Large room (actually more than one room) just for me with a balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Free shuttle bus into town and back - each hour. Breakfast was good. Clothes (washed by hand on arrival) didn't dry completely after 3 days hanging on the balcony chairs or in the room (Clothes airers would be good). Definitely recommend this Hotel.

I spent three nights in January 2017 here. Very nice place, good breakfast. Beautiful view of the village. A bit far from it, but you can use de shuttle service. Very attentive staff. Of course, it is not a luxurious hotel, but it is fine.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The charming hideaway of Luang Prabang is one of Indochina’s gems and the showpiece of Laos. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995, the well preserved city is more of a sleepy backwater than a modern metropolis. Wedged into the confluence of the mighty Mekong and lesser Khan river, Luang Prabang's peaceful location sets the pace for the unhurried way of life in the second largest city in Laos. Its grid-like road network makes it virtually impossible to get lost, and the entire town can be covered on foot in a day. ... more   less
