A beautiful hotel overlooking the Mekong River at the end of Luang Prabang in a quiet location but only a maximum of 10 minutes to anywhere in the town. Really friendly staff, excellent food and large rooms with separate seating area and balcony. Small buffet breakfast that was always fresh as it was constantly been restocked (rather than some places...

French provincial architecture in a beautiful, peaceful location, but only a short walk to the restaurants, night life and night market of Luang Prabang. Although the room decor is a little dated, the bed was large and comfortable, the service from the staff was exceptional and the whole accommodation experience was restful and enjoyable

The Xiengthong Palace is located right next to the Mekong river, right in the middle of the old part of Luang Prabang. All the sites are within easy walking distance. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Always willing to help, and welcoming you with a smile. The director, who comes from Spain, greeted the guests during breakfast time and...

Dear CanarioViajero, Sabaidee! Warm greetings from Xiengthong Palace! Thank you for your lovely comment, I am glad to read another review from another satisfied guest. Indeed the Mekong river is just in front of us, and travellers can experience it at its highest water level during summer months, or as from now on with a low level which makes sand-bannks...

We arrived as part of a group and we all had wonderful rooms. We had a suite which overlooked the street but it was still a nice view because you could see the river.
