Khammany inn is in a great location. Small walk to river and night markets. Private room are comfortable with hot water. We paid for air conditioning however the aircon was in much need for re gasing. The staff are friendly however not that helpful at times.

One of the best hostels we stayed in in Lao. Very affordable (cheap), clean and all with aircon (you may have to ask for it to be turned on, electricity is expensive in Lao), beds are not super soft, but good for Asian standards (be smart, fold you blanket and use it as a topmatress ;) ) and last but... DOWN SIDE ---This is my first Trip Advisor flat-out failure. Disappointing. This is a night-noisy hostel, very active backpacker place. I booked a private room thinking I would receive consideration for quiet sleep -- much needed from travel fatigue. It didn't happen. The long concrete, tile hallways echo all sound. There is a posted (NO EXCEPTIONS it says) notice that... More

The place is exactly what your looking for In a hostel. Free breakfast, activities, wifi, good people and good vibes! If you can afford the extra dime, stay in a private room. Oh, and stay away from the Lao Lao ( local whisky) and it gives you a horrid hangover!

We booked two private rooms just before departing from vang vien through booking.com. When we arrived at 10 pm after 7 hours road trip, they did not have any private rooms because 'the internet was down for a day'. They offered a free night for us in a dormitory, and promised us private rooms for the second night. We were... More

The staff and owner are excellent and very helpful. They are a good budget place perfect for meeting new people, good location very close to the night market and temple's. Place is clean and comfortable. Would recommend it.

We stayed in a private room for two nights, room smelled a bit damp but clean enough. Would say this was more of a hostel than a hotel! Place could do with a bit of an update. Air con was rubbish and a noisy cockerel outside, probably a good thing when we were getting up for the alms! Wifi rarely... More

I had a really good time staying here. The rooms were clean, the free breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the location is very good because its not very far from the night market and there are many places to eat and drink.

I was a little hesitant about the Khammany Inn when my party and I first arrived in the evening- all the places we walked into prior were sold out- this was our third shot and finding a room later in the evening. However, after one full day of staying there- my party and I were impressed by the amazingly friendly... More

If you have been to Luang Prabang ,you will know no such the good hostel if compare with Europe or Thailand. the qualify is fair for US7-10 per bed per night/ The owner is very friendly and helpful in everything. The bunk bed is just ok and air con might not be cool. Pro: good breakfast for free and big... More
