(broken) -Sink was plugged -Toilet falling apart -Roof fan too -No English -Wifi was a joke. Had to sit in the hallway 1m from the router. -And on top of it all...

The worst guesthouse yet. The staff didn't speak English. Not their fault I know, but in this type of environment basic knowledge helps. They were reluctant to help and we had to press for everything. We arrived very early so the room wasn't ready which is fair enough. We were encouraged to use a three bed room in the meantime...

We booked via 'booking dot com' to stay at the Mekong Moon Inn Guesthouse for £15 a night. On arriving at the guesthouse it was grim, and that's being polite! Luckily I work in Laos and called a colleague who recommended this guesthouse at just £10 a night (130,000 kip) room only. Location wise, it's perfect. Just a short stroll...

My son and I were given a Double Room Downstairs (Room #1) for our 3 night stay. There was no window in our room, no toilet paper, no coat hangers, no door handle on the toilet and the toilet door didn't close. The light bulbs in the toilet and shower were both blown and the remote for the air-con had...

Sakura made my stay in the gorgeous city of Luang Prabang just incredible. Clean facilities, comfortable air-conditioned rooms, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food from little cafes all around, and only a short 10 minute walk to the town center and night market. If you have never been to Luang Prabang, do yourself a favor and check it out because...
