I cant say enough about this great place! The rooms were great with a lovely view of the river, breakfast was excellent, staff were very helpful. The showers could do with some repairs but this is my only complaint but this was minor.

I can't say I noticed sport fishing in LP, and I really doubt Thongbay caters to it, but there was guided fishing in Muang Ngoi, a day trip by minivan and boat up the Nam Ou river. You would need two nights in Muang Ngoi to fish it. And it's a great trip into the hills of Laos.
