Villa Maydou is a nicely laid out complex of buildings. It was very clean and comfortable and quiet. The pool was welcome after a day of sightseeing, along with cocktail service. Nice breakfast in the open air. Staff very professional. It was pricier than where we spent the previous three nights but it was worth it.

My husband and I stayed in Villa Maydou for one night in November 2016 and it was a good experience. The villa is a very nice place in the city center, beside a Buddhist temple in a very calm area, a perfect location to relax. Inside the villa the houses are beautiful in a traditional Lao style, there is also...

I recently stated at Villa Maydou in LP. It is a beautiful complex of building, some dating back many decades. The staff is very friendly helpful, with people speaking a combination of languages including English and French. As some of the buildings are old, it can be a bit loud. Especially being on the ground floor and hearing people walk...

Only spent 2 nights at the Villa Maydou. The staff are very laid back and if your only language is English then the language barrier maybe a little difficult. We were told our morning trip would be picking us up at 6am only to learn the next day it wasnt actually picking us up until 8am. Breakfast wasn't the best...

We were shown lots of village activities, and got to participate. The guide had answers for all our questions from family lifestyles to political history. The tents were super clean and a lot of fun to stay in.

We lived in a new building on the first floor by the pool (the old ones are dated back to as early as 1936), even so it looks quite antique. And when i found out that Maydou is "rosewood" in Lao. As I know they are Very precious wood. I can only assume they are very expensive.

We enjoyed my time at Villa Maydou a lot. This is pretty hotel. The rooms are very clean and the stuff is great. All staffs were great and eager to serve as brillianr as possible. It was a little bit away from town which is good but the free bikes make a big differences. Breakfast is good. Pool is good....

Nice place, not amazing but natural style. People are nice and friendly too. Only the price was a bit too much for what we get. I think its good location too. Near everything. The food was ok and the breakfast simple.

We spent four nights in Luang Prabang, staying at Villa Maydou. It is a series of old Laotian houses set beside Wat Meuanna and very near to the old bridge crossing the Nam Khan River. It takes around 15-20 minutes to all into the centre or the Mekong River. The rooms are styled in a traditional manner, are quite dark...

Villa Maydou provides the ultimate haven for all the visitors who are keen to explore Luang Prabang in Lao style. Maydou means rosewood in Lao language and actually the wood is predominantly used in all the property. The hotel may only refer to Lao heritage, tradition, patrimony resulting from the quality of work of skillful artisans. This unique place is...
