We arrived as a party of two couples and stayed in two double rooms. The place was expensive at 18 dollars per night so we were looking forward to a nice, high quality place to spend 4 nights. The first room we were shown smelled very damp so we asked for another and got two rooms on opposite sides of...

Don't get a ground floor room here. Desperately needing renovation, and the room smelled musty or moldy. Great location, friendly staff, and really cheap. don't confuse this place with Muonlao riverside by Xandria.

We got to Luang Prabang really early in the morning after a night bus from hell, but luckily they let us check in when we arrived so we were really grateful to get in and shower and sleep! We had a triple room, which was really really dark as all the windows were covered by shutters and closed with masking...

We had a room that overlooked the street out front. There was a balcony out there too if you opened the door you could sit. But the noise, and dust, and traffic below made it not a very pleasant place to sit. The room was large and a good value for what we paid but if you have to keep...

The room was nice, reasonable clean and spacious with balcony facing a busy noisy street, nice view overlooking the temple across the road. However there were a few things we were not so happy about. For example: We were kicked out after two days because the room was booked which we did not know. Further, we were given a menu...

Good for the price we paid. Location is great, night market nearby and only 20 mins walk to riverside. The staff was very friendly, they helped us arranged a one day tour to Pak Ou cave and Kuang Si waterfall. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Unfortunately our triple-bed front facing room on the ground floor was just average, wall are...

The most positive thing is that it's clean, there are no bedbugs, so it was a relief after our last 2 hotels in Laos. There's wifi but it's a bit slow (not bad for Lao average though). The price was good too, only 7 euros for a double room with en suite bathroom with fan. The owners are a young...

At first glance the guesthouse seemed nice. It was the Lao New Year and I was greeted with a glass of beer from the staff. The room looked nice at first, it was big. But everything went downhill. There was no remote for the aircon, and they did not have one for me. They would switch the aircon on for...

It was the second time I stayed at that guesthouse and even though a lot has changed to Luang Prabang over the past 4 years (where do all the cars and motocycles come from?), not a lot has changed there. The crew is still very young and soooo amazingly friendly - you just feel like you are staying with your...
