This is a basic guesthouse but it is well located and clean. Biggest annoyance was other guests making a lot of noise, maybe as it was Chinese New Year. Staff are friendly but seem to have limited English.
Stayed in a fan room on ground floor fronting a nice laid back garden setting for 70K. Room was clean and tidy and everything worked. WIFI was a little off/on but that is normal for most cheap guesthouses in Laos. Location is only 15 minutes walk from Night Market and the main "tourist ghetto" part of town. Plenty of cheap noodle and local Laos food places at local prices in the same street. ATM's, bicycle and motorbike hire places within 100 metres walk. The lady at reception to some people may seem a bit abrupt when you first arrive but if you strike up a conversation with her you will find that she is quite friendly and has lots of good and reliable information. Had no problems with the management or staff. I have stayed here before and find the rates and rooms much better value than most other places in LP and would stay here again. Recommend the budget fan rooms in the garden.…
This place is located every well in Luang Prabang. Every good pricing ($10USD a night). Got an A/C room which actually was really powerful and was really nice to come back to after a long day of walking. Located close to Night Market and other areas. Also washes clothes cheaply. Reception very nice and offered up cheap drinks. Also offers transfers and overall was worth bang for buck. Overall I recommend this place.
$15 for AC and $9 for fan room is not bad deal for Luang Prabang. Rooms in house but also around a bit of a garden with a few tables. WIFI works most of time but not the best. Clean and reasonable location. Couple of good, cheap local restaurants up the road to the left. The woman on the reception is not very friendly and seems to be looking for an argument. A warm smile and helpful staff would make this a far better place
The Gh is clean with big room and comfortable bed and a share balcony(street side) or in a chill garden for 70 000 kip we met a lot of people who paid much more for more less... The area is not really beautiful but closed to the tourist place as 8 min from night market. The staff answer at all our questions and a man sleep near the front door all night. I recommend it.
The room was great value for the money - big, clean, and quiet if your away from the road. I had money go missing while staying in this Guest House - not 100% sure if a staff member took it or I got short changed while in Luang Prabang however it left me with a bitter feeling towards this place and my experience in Luang Prabang. Other people staying here were also having issues - one couple had their keys break when unlocking the door and the receptionist tried to charge 100 000 kip for replacement of the key. My advice is don't leave your key at reception - take it with you. I probably wouldn't stay here again travelling solo - there was no one really to meet staying here and i felt the staff weren't very trust worthy. If your heading toward Chaing Mai - don't book any tickets with this place, the travel place across the street charges half the price - also take the boat if your going to Thailand. The night bus was an awful experience, all the travel agencies use the same bus, its not a vip bus but more a local bus with a few other travelers and mostly locals.…
Had a fan room first floor for a few nights.big clean Room with bed linen and towels facing the street. Quiet at night and during the day. About 15 minutes walk from the main strip ie night market. No restaurant and none in the immediate vicinity. Drinks available, lady owner very pleasant and will give you tips on places.
Our room was in first floor, hot during the day but IT had a balcony so nice to east there or just chill out. With fan and private bathroom, hot shower, take and chairs...With a deck in the entrance, Wi-Fi in both floors! It has free fresh mineral water...
We have stayed at Jaliya several times over the last three years. The rooms on the ground floor are a bit smaller than those upstairs but the price is the same($15.00). The shower is hot and good blankets are provided for winter nights. The courtyard garden is a quiet place to read and relax or use the wifi. It is an easy walk to both the Night Market and the Old Bridge.
not much to add what others have pointed at already......I really liked the garden and met some nice people there too.If you don't carry heavy luggage the bus terminal is within walking distance. on the way to the historical center, around the corner, about 2 blocks away there is a place to rent motorbikes and grocery shop, the owner is friendly, trustworthy and speaks good English
