The Retreat Palm Dubai Mgallery By Sofitel is often applauded for its spotless amenities and serene location on the Palm, which guests find ideal for relaxation and views. While the clean beach, comfortable rooms, and live music contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, some travelers note a small pool and service can be hit-or-miss, especially at breakfast and beach areas. Room experiences vary, with decor and views receiving both praise and criticism. Despite the hotel's overall cleanliness, several guests question the value, pointing out extra costs and upkeep issues.

We spent a wonderful week at this great place. The location on the palm tree is perfect, you can relax here very well, but is also quick by taxi to the many sights. Our room had a great view of the palm tree, was nicely decorated and was cleaned very neatly daily. Many thanks to Sunil for that! The buffet (half board), both morning and evening, was varied and delicious every day. In the evening, there were various topics. All the staff in the dining area were very friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Saksham for his funny way!
We were always greeted and farewelled friendly when we came back to the hotel or started for a trip.
All in all, this place is highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again my holiday.

The location is perfect to avoid the chaos of the city but close enough to move anywhere but avoiding the rush hour that is deadly. You don't need much and you're queuing for two hours to get from one side of Dubai to the other, but getting out of the Palm is always easy.
Better to use Taxis that cost half or even a third of Uber.
The Retrat is well located, it is not as big as other hotels.
The price is always adequate in comparison with other hotels.
The City view is perfect and the Lounge option adds a little wellness.
The Sea view is to be avoided: they are building a building that will one day take away the view, but the problem is the noises of the construction site... and the view on a construction site is only fine for an umarell.
Choose City View and you're good to go.
Small but ok pool, clean and comfortable beach.
Only note: beach chairs too close to each other, although they are comfortable and spacious. Above all: clean.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
No alcohol like in other facilities.
The Turkish-Arabic restaurant is ok, you do not eat badly. Maybe it gets a little monotonous.
The breakfast has a good buffet and is enjoyable both inside and outside... Make Accor membership because it guarantees you a discount on every purchase - usually 30%.
We would stay again.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special by every one of your staff and I would rate the service we received as impeccable. The reception staff checked us in quickly and efficiently and offered us to go and eat from the buffet in Vibe before we went to our room as the restaurant closed within 39 minutes. The room was clean and spacious and Akeel from housekeeping made sure we had everything we needed ensuring our tea and milk supplies arrived swiftly when we ran out. The food in Vibe restaurant was always fresh, with a great variety of healthy options. I loved the great touch of the daily juice and mini croissants offered outside the restaurant at breakfast, in case you had to wait a short time to be seated (this was never more than 5/6 minutes) A wholehearted thanks to the entire Vibe team for a fabulous and professional service, we were always treated in a professional, courteous and friendly manner by everyone. Special mention to Lena who greeted us with a smile every morning and always remembered our room number. Aya, who always made sure we knew when the buffet was about to close at breakfast so we didn’t miss out. Islam, who always checked to see if there was anything else we needed (Miss Dubai says Hi). Rim and Owen in Ripples pool bar who were always so friendly and efficient at their job, together with all the staff who worked tirelessly in extreme heat to ensure we got our smoothies and snacks without delay. Shafiq and Ahmad in the Concierge team who were always on hand with suggestions for places to go and the most cost effective transport options to use.

My only negatives for the entire stay was that you could do with more sun loungers around the pool. May be utilise the seating area on the other side of the pool as I barely saw anyone sitting on those seats during the day. There was never a shortage off sun loungers on the beach and it was nice to see that people were not allowed to reserve any of the sun loungers. The mini bar in the room was not cold enough to chill the drinks.

I have stayed at a lot of 5 star resorts over the years and the service we received at the Retreat was exemplary and puts them at the top of my list on par with the Madinat Jumeirah.

Room Tip: You need to get to the pool by 9am to get a sun lounger, although there are plenty on the beach.

The hotel is nice & modern, beautiful beach & some of the valet parking staff were friendly. However we paid for a seaview and we wasn’t aware that the seaview we paid for also included a construction site. It was very noisy & construction started every morning around 7am. On our first day we did ask if we could switch rooms & explained why we wanted to switch & the receptionist just said they haven’t got any more rooms so we can’t switch. I was a bit annoyed how we paid extra for seaview & wasn’t aware that a noisy construction site would also be included in our view. I’d recommend the hotel letting people know about the construction site before they pay and waste money for a seaview. Also if you plan on booking this hotel 1) i would buy water from a supermarket. A small bottle of water from the hotel cost £7 and tasted like chlorine. 2) it is also a retreat hotel so no alcohol is served in the hotel & no alcohol/smoking/vaping is allowed anywhere on the premise.

Basic hotel and remote - had booked this hotel to celebrate my 50th birthday I emailed the hotel prior and asked if I could have a nice room with a view - on arrival the room we had was overlooking at building site !! I didn’t say anything as it was my holiday !
Next day reception called asking how was my room I explained that overlooking a building site was not ideal - she said she would get back to me to which she did the next day and I spent time again packing all my stuff up and they did move me to a room with nice view .
The room where nice clean- Buffett was good but you only get water with your meal Philippine staff in buffet where lovely and so was the older English man always made u feel welcoming.
Staff at the a La carte restaurant was always trying to pull you in there restaurant which made me and my daughter feel uncomfortable! This restaurant was not part of the buffet
The pool was nice but the sunbeds where a joke not enough around the pool and was too hot to sit in the beach so some afternoon I went and sat in my room as there was no where to sit around the pool- the pool was fully of kids and families and was not very relaxing at times - the lovely man on the towels stall was so lovely .
The hotel did not acknowledge my birthday infact I decided to book into another hotel for a night to which that hotel upgraded me to one of the finest rooms and brought a lovely birthday cake up to my room - the same happened when I went to aura sky pool they noticed I recently had my birthday and gave us the best seats and a lovely birthday cake - my the retreat did not acknowledge- would I visit the retreat again - probably not - been Dubai many times and feel the retreat is not what it desires to be - I always go on holiday for my birthday and have to say this year at the retreat hotel was a let down - I found the hotel -lifeless and infact at times quite depressing- I appreciate it is suppose to be a wellness hotel but didn’t give that vibe

Dear S6605PNcarolinet, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent stay at The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially during such a special occasion as your 50th birthday. We strive to create memorable experiences for all our guests, and we are disheartened to hear that you felt the hotel did not fully live up to its promise. While we are pleased that our team was able to move you to a room with a better view, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the initial room allocation. Please allow us to clarify that we did arrange for a special birthday cake and room setup to celebrate your milestone. We appreciate your kind words about our buffet and the service provided by our team members, especially in the buffet area and by the pool. However, we are sorry that certain aspects, such as the sunbed availability and the atmosphere, did not provide the relaxing experience you were seeking. Once again, we apologize for the aspects of your stay that fell short and are grateful for your comments, which help us to improve. A lovely hotel with the most beautiful pool and beach views. I have stayed on the palm before and this hotel is the first wellness resort I’ve stayed at, this includes no alcohol or smoking. If you would like a quiet relaxing holiday, I would suggest this hotel.

This was a great resort to stay at however there is one small thing that I suggest to be provided that other hotels on the palm provide free of charge and that is bottled water. Dubai is a very hot place and guests should be encouraged to drink water constantly to prevent heat exhaustion or dehydration, and with the price of the hotel this should be something that is included as a standard.
Overall I had no other issues.

This is my first ever review and I’ve decided to make it simply to give credit to the staff of this hotel.
My room cleaner for room 639 was Ajai, he was a wonderful and kind man who provided the best cleaning service everyday, there was another cleaner on the 6th floor who was very friendly and hospitable and never failed to say good morning every day.

Also every single staff member at the ripples pool bar were so hard working throughout my entire stay, they were so speedy, efficient and so friendly with smiles on their faces from morning till night every single day. It’s not hard to notice how much effort they put in at all, they were amazing. They really made my stay so much more enjoyable, I hope the management team give them a lot of credit for their hard work because they truly deserve it.

what to write to make it sufficient. Absolute TOP hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in my lifetime, but The Retreat really left the most pleasant impression on me.

A great combination of design, luxury, hospitality and atmosphere that is hard to describe in words.

The absolute warm but unobtrusive friendliness of the staff makes you feel welcome. From the front desk, to the waiters, to the housekeeping staff, to the lifeguards - all complete professionals. Excellent cuisine that always gave plenty of choice.

Absolute cleanliness and spacious, tastefully furnished rooms and public areas of the hotel.

Hassle free and quiet clientele - no shouting, no reserved sunbeds by the pool from sunrise.

* in a family hotel I would have expected a larger selection of children's meals or a separate children's menu/children's bar
* in a family hotel I would expect to have a potty available for hire
* the side overlooking the city and Burj Khalifa is a busy building (sometimes at night) = choose rooms with pool view instead

This hotel and its staff are lovely.
We arrive late evening and were greeting with concierge to help with our bags.
Abershek on reception was fantastic and in conversation of us being away for our anniversary upgraded our room, we received many complimentary gifts throughout the holiday politely left in our room for our return from outtings!
The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday including fresh bedding, gowns and towels.
The pool area is kept very clean it’s small for the mass of the hotel and you need to be out for 7ish to secure a bed around the pool as there are not many (you can not reserve beds as such, the pool opens at 8) the beach beds are plenty so you don’t have to rush to get them, the sea is like bath!
Can’t quiet comment on the food as we stayed bed and breakfast, many a choice for that and was decent enough, although we did noticed waiting times (short, but again for the mass of the hotel the eating area was small, so maybe more so for lunch and dinner)
The Rayya spa on site was nice we enjoyed the romance package which covered 3.5 hours of bliss.
Being on the palm was lovely and you can taxi to the main attractions in Dubai which was cheap enough to do.
We ordered food some nights via the Careem app which was great! Just place your order and meet the driver at the doors of the hotel.
We would definitely visit again!

I really loved and enjoyed my stay at The Retreat Palm Dubai. The location is perfect, on Palm Jumeirah with amazing views to Dubai Marina and to both of the Atlantis. It is very accessible from the airport and from any other any other points of the city. The hotel is beautiful, cozy and extremely clean. The swimming pool is a little bit small but very well designed. The beach area is also great, the water was very clear and there is a company offering all sort of water sports. As an Accor Silver member, I felt treated as such. My suite was impressive. I loved waking up with those breathtaking views to the Palm. The spa is small but very well equipped. The breakfast and the dinner buffet were very basic for being a 5-star hotel.

The hotel was full, something very positive for the business, but I could see how some of the hotel operations were a little bit altered. As a matter of fact, they gave me the room very late, and I had to wait 45 minutes to get a free table at the restaurant for breakfast. Nonetheless, I must say that those issues did not affect my experience and the purpose of my visit.

The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and cheerful, except Redwan at the pool bar (I am not sure if that is the correct spelling) who did not greet me, and did not even use words to speak to me; he was just nodding with his head and pointing the things on the menu without saying any words. Moreover, I requested a drink that was not available, and he laughed instead of aplogizing and advising about other available options. Afterwards, I got to know that, despite not appearing on the menu, they had non-alcoholic mojitos, which he did not even mention.

Dear manza_com, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay at The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the hotel's beautiful and cozy atmosphere, as well as its prime location on Palm Jumeirah with stunning views. It is wonderful to know that you appreciated the design of the pool, the clear waters at the beach and your impressive suite. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay, particularly with the late room availability, the wait for breakfast and the service at the pool bar. We take your feedback seriously, especially regarding the behavior of our heartist, Redwan. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we will address this issue internally to ensure it does not happen again. We are glad that despite these challenges, your overall experience was still positive and we appreciate your understanding. I expected it to be fabulous and it wasn’t. I had a broken pillow case for the whole 8 nights I was there, of course I could have reported it but it was for me an indication of how many times they change linen. The food was nice but nothing like it showed on the pictures. We nearly finished the meal before we were served with drinks. All drinks are stored away so you weren’t able to help yourself. Even a glass at a time if water. Although I went all inclusive all drinks in the minibar were to be paid for. Once the restaurant is closed you have no facilities to any drinks just mini bar in room but you have to pay for them. The little shop didn’t sell drinks or food. All the wellbeing facilities are to be paid for except the gym. I have had better with less money in Dubai. Wouldn’t go to this hotel again.

We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations and appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the broken pillowcase and any inconvenience it caused during your stay. We understand that this is not acceptable and will address this with our housekeeping team to ensure that our linen standards are strictly maintained. We are also sorry to hear about your dining experience and the inconvenience of waiting for drinks and not being able to help yourself. We will review our service procedures to improve the efficiency and availability of drinks for our guests. Regarding the all-inclusive package, we apologize if there was any confusion about what was included. We will work on better communicating what is available to our guests upon arrival. Your feedback about the availability of drinks and the offerings in our shop is also noted, and we will explore ways to enhance these aspects of our service. We regret that you felt the wellbeing facilities did not offer good value. We will review our pricing and the information we provide to ensure clarity and fairness. We strive to provide a high-quality experience for all our guests and are disheartened to learn that we fell short during your stay. Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with the exceptional stay you deserve. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. Yours sincerely, Samir Arora General Manager
