Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa is highly praised by guests for its comprehensive amenities, including beautifully decorated rooms, a lagoon with round-the-clock access, and a variety of exceptional dining options, all contributing to a family-friendly atmosphere. While the serene environment and live entertainment are frequently lauded, some visitors point out that the noise level can detract from the tranquil experience.
Even though the hotel's remote location is considered picturesque, travelers suggest that it's less convenient for city outings. The attentive service and spotless cleanliness receive accolades, yet some feel the overall value is diminished by high costs for extras.

We stayed for 11 nights in October and had a truly special holiday. The hotel is fantastic and the service has been outstanding. Our room overlooked the lagoon and it was pretty special just heading down the stairs and being right at the pool. The room was beautiful and comfortable with great views across the lagoon and just big enough for a family of 4 with two children under 12. The lagoon pool is very relaxing and always felt safe with lifeguards stationed throughout and on duty till well after dark. (Night swimming was a fun bonus!!) The beach was a real treat and we spent most days there as the views were great across the palm and the sand and water clean and warm. The atmosphere was always relaxed and it was easy to get sun beds every day we were here. The food has been uniformly excellent in both the main buffet restaurant (Crescendo) and the specialty restaurants, particularly Mekong and The Beach House as well as breakfast in Revo Cafe. Our only slight frustration was that the kids menu at the speciality restaurants were limited, especially for our growing 11 year old with a growing appetite! The service at all times has been fantastic- it has made this holiday feel really special. All staff we met were friendly but special thanks to these people who we met several times and made a big impression: Rabby and Yin in Revo Cafe; Daniel and Wellington on the beach; Prazee at The Beach House; Fouad Jok and Kevin the concierge. There were many more examples of excellent service - sorry we can’t t name you all. Although the guys tried hard to sell them, the water sports were just far too expensive which is a shame as the kids would have loved to have a go. Taxis to the major tourist spots are not too expensive (use the Careem app for good taxi prices) just be prepared for Dubai traffic - it can be upwards of 45 + mins to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall on some occasions.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return to the Anantara in the future and would recommend it to everyone!

This has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in! The Resort is beautiful, it’s like staying in Thailand in Dubai! It’s very relaxing and we absolutely loved it! We stayed for 10 nights in a hotel room in the North Residence, the room was fantastic, it was immaculately clean, serviced twice a day by Laxmi, who made sure we had everything we needed! The room looked as if it had been newly renovated, the decor was lovely and it was one of the most comfortable beds we had slept in, in a hotel! We had a lovely balcony with a fabulous view and we watched the sun go down most nights before we went out for dinner!
While staying in another hotel before Covid on various occasions we had met Jennifer who had looked after us so well we had kept in touch, so I had let her know that we had decided to come and stay at the Anantara, and she made our stay so special, we both had birthdays during the holiday and she made sure we were spoilt, having the room decorated twice and leaving us cake and wine, she checked in on us on a regular basis to make sure we were being looked after and that everything was good! It always was! She is an absolute credit to The Anantara and excellent at her job!
The resort is just beautiful, the lagoons are lovely to have a swim in and the next time we go we would possibly stay in a lagoon room for a change, (however I’m not sure the view from our balcony could be beaten) there are also little inlets around the lagoons between the rooms that have loungers if you fancy a change from the main pool or the beach! We did this one day and it was very peaceful!
The beach is lovely and well maintained, the view on the beach is amazing from seeing the 2 Atlantis hotels, beautiful villas on the Palm fronds and round to the buildings at the marina, there’s always something to look at! The water is so clear you can see all the little fish swimming and it’s a gorgeous colour, we loved spending every day there! My only dislike was, there are quite a lot of birds on the beach, which is fine until people decide to feed them and it’s mayhem as they all swoop around, I have a bird phobia and I had to leave the beach twice. Would be nice if people were encouraged not to feed them, as at the end of the day it’s not good for the wild life they’re not supposed to eat chips!!!!
All the restaurants are fabulous the food is delicious, from Beach House, Mekong, Bushman’s, we ate in them all the food is fantastic and again the staff are very attentive! Breakfast in Cresendo every morning was fab, food very fresh and loads of different things to choose from, it’s never boring!
The Spa is also worth a visit! It’s very peaceful and I had a lovely massage! Also very reasonably priced for Dubai!
We had some lovely cocktails in Lotus Lounge at happy hour from 5pm to 7pm and watched the sunset!
I would also like to give a shout out to Roshan at reception in the north residence, who checked us in and booked all our restaurant reservations and went above and beyond to get us out of Hotel early on the day we were leaving due to a horrendous Thunderstorm! Also Rani in Crescendo and the staff in Lotus lounge!
Finally it was a privilege to be invited to a drinks reception in Lotus Lounge and meet James Hewitson the hotel Manager and Sonia Sammut the Residences Operations Manager!
This is very much a family hotel which is great, but due to the temperatures at this time of year there were a lot of families with small children and babies, a lot of whom were crying a lot of the time, it would be nice to have an adults only section in places and especially on the beach, which has plenty of space!
We will definitely visit The Anantara again!!!! 😊

Our recent stay at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort was truly memorable as a young family with a toddler. The hotel is exceptionally family-friendly and made our vacation special in many ways.
We stayed in a lagoon-view room, which was lovely, but in hindsight, we wish we had chosen a lagoon-access room. These rooms have excellent safety features for toddlers, offering peace of mind while still enjoying the stunning surroundings.
The hotel itself was clean, and the service was fantastic throughout. Breakfast at Crescendo was a nice—it’s a buffet style with something for everyone, which made it easy to cater to all tastes, my personal favourite spot was the pancake and crepe station. We also dined at Mekong, where the food was delicious, and the portion sizes were so generous that we over-ordered not knowing what to expect. The BBQ night on the beach was a mixed experience; while the variety was impressive, the flavours didn’t quite meet our expectations as the food lacked seasoning. That said, the service of all the staff was great and the lobster was perfectly cooked, and the entertainment, including the fire show on the beach, added a magical touch to the evening.
The Beach House restaurant was another favourite. The calamari, prawns, and steak were all excellent, and the kids’ menu across all the resort’s restaurants was well thought out and appealing. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try Bushman’s Restaurant, but it’s on our list for next time!
The resort’s location is also ideal, about a 10-minute drive from Atlantis, which made visiting Aquaventure and The Lost Chambers Aquarium very convenient. The hotel buggies to transport guests to their rooms after a day out were a thoughtful touch that we appreciated.
Special thanks to Solomon, Nestor, Ahmed (Egypt), and Boniface, as well as the welcoming and attentive team at Crescendo, including the Asian lady with short dark hair and glasses who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Their friendly service truly stood out.
We celebrated all our birthdays here, and the hotel went the extra mile to make them memorable. From personalised name boards and a teddy for my 2 year old, to surprise birthday cakes and notes to a floral birthday display on our bed, these personal touches were heartwarming and greatly appreciated.
On a separate note, I would advise families to request a normal taxi rather than a private taxi as they are usually at least twice the cost and the local taxi service is metered.
Overall, we had an incredible stay and would highly recommend Anantara The Palm for families travelling with young children.

I booked a last minute trip to Dubai as I needed some sunshine and relaxing, this hotel kept popping up on all the holiday sites and I did a bit of research and decided that it looked the place to be for both relaxing and enjoying Dubai City. This hotel is amazing it's well maintained and very clean as is Dubai as a whole. We went half board which was all we needed as I don't really enjoy all inclusive as you don't need to eat that much 😂. We had breakfast in the buffet which was the main hotel restaurant which had plenty to pick from and then we enjoyed a couple of later breakfasts at the Revo Cafe which again was lovely and fresh. Dinner was great in the main buffet restaurant and it was so nice to see all different foods from across the world and not a chip in sight 😂. We had a room looking over the pools I asked for a quieter room as I don't sleep brilliantly and they listened because we was away from the main beach pool and area and the children's area so I can relax. The room was so clean and modern and big and you just had to walk 3 steps to get into the pool. We were asked at check in if I wanted to upgrade to a pool room but I had already spent a lot of money and said no but there was no pressure from the staff which was really nice. All of the staff including cleaners, reception and restaurant were so polite and great at their jobs, they all work so hard and it shows in the hotel overall appearance. The cleaning is done at different times of the day most days it was after 10am so it didn't affect us they also do turn down service which is very good with little chocolates in the pillow. Things to know - The hotel is at the end of the Palm so be aware it takes at least 20mins to get off it in a taxi so bare that in mind when you are planning days out. Use local taxi they are always available and the hotel can get you one very easily. It costs around £20 to get to the main places in Dubai The drinks in the restaurants are expensive which I don't like at all there is no need to charge £6 for a small can of Coke so be aware of that But they do offer water and fresh juice at breakfast and dinner so we got some bottles of fizzy from the supermarket at the Mall for the room. We asked for the Mini bar to be removed so we could use the fridge which was no issue. One tiny thing that bothered me which the amount of times I was asked how my food was at dinner one time I was asked 7 times which is far to much and I am happy to do reviews for trip advisor when I want to I was asked so many times to do personal reviews of staff etc they would give you a card. This did not distract from me having an amazing time and holiday and I would 100% return. 5 stars all round 😊

I would not recommend this hotel to people who are accustomed to a high level and quality of their holiday. This hotel is not worthy of 5 stars! Old rooms in the northern building of the residence, tattered furniture, poor cleaning, dirty headboard covered with yellow stains, very loud air conditioning, which makes it impossible to sleep. There is no free water on the beach, they provide water in the room, but in reusable glass bottles, and how they wash them is a big question. On the beach, no one comes up to you, you will jump to open the umbrella yourself, and you will also bring the towels yourself. But that's not even the main thing. In the main restaurant, where the buffet is, the staff paints all the shabby round tables with black polish, it looks like greasy paint that stains clothes and is impossible to wash! 5 items in our wardrobe were damaged, including one expensive white women's shirt from a famous brand. The residence manager and the hotel manager, when meeting with us, were absolutely not friendly and unkind, they behaved extremely unpleasantly and arrogantly, we got the impression that they do not like Russian tourists, and they also do not like it when complaints are made against them. They tried to prove to us that there could be no paint in the restaurant, so we had to show them a video taken in the restaurant. They didn't like it very much, because there was nothing to object to. They did not apologize, they only said that they could offer us free dry cleaning, and if the stains do not go away, then this is our problem, and they will not compensate for the cost of the items, because we do not have receipts for them. This is just rare rudeness, unworthy of a 5 star hotel! We also showed them a photo of an uncleaned mountain of dishes at our breakfast and a dirty headboard in the room, to which they did not respond at all, showing that they did not care about our opinion and perception. We have never encountered such terrible staff and such an attitude anywhere. They just don't care about their guests. The shirt was cleaned only after the second dry cleaning, 3 items were cleaned after the first, and one sweatshirt was never cleaned. All the same, these things are no longer in the same condition as they were before. Nobody approached us again, didn’t ask for our opinion, didn’t apologize, and we never saw any of the managers again. Draw your own conclusions.

We literally loved our stay at the Anantara. We travelled 2 families (A family of 4 and a family of 3). Our children were 9 and 5 and our friends had a baby. We were treated like royalty from start to finish of our stay. We stayed for 6 nights We went half board which included breakfast with lunch or dinner each day. the breakfast was always well presented, good quality food and plenty of chefs cooking at stations so you never had to wait long (even though we were there in half term which is a busy time). the dinners were varied daily with plenty to choose from, if I had to pick fault I'd just say there could have been more of a kids section, and possibly self service soft drinks included. The rooms were a good size and well fitted out with plenty of storage space, a bath and shower. We were unfortunate enough to get heavy rain during our stay and rang to request an umbrella and there was 2 at the door within 5 minutes. They even offered to bring us by cart to reception.
The pools we clean and there are plenty of lifeguards on duty, along with staff putting on games in the pool to entertain the kids.
The gym is extremely well kitted out with top of the range kit, plenty of space and well looked after too.
We loved this hotel, its a bit far out on the palm location wise but taxis are cheap, if travelling as a family we would definitely return again, Highly recommended here.
The staff are great.

This is quite simply the Best Hotel we have stayed at by far In Dubai (and we are by no means strangers to the UAE)
Anantara the Palm provides out of this world quality, in terms of service, food, amenities and overall stay.
The Location on Palm is amazing, providing views of the Burj Al Arab, the city and many many skyscrapers for those "selfie enthusiasts".
Mekong was amazing, this Thai restaurants food was authentic and very delicious, we went twice during our stay as the quality of service, ingredients, flavours and cocktails was amazing.
We picked a lagoon access room which was kept absolutely perfect every day by the house keeping team. The room was re stocked everyday with towels and fresh water bottles and turn down service was also excellent.
The main pool was lovely and what you would expect from a 5* resort, cocktail service was efficient and excellent number of sun loungers to pick from.
The beach is pristine with photo opportunities and many water sports to pick from (at additional cost)
Special thanks to Shanali @ The Lounge Bar for the great service and tasty. Cocktails, Tee @ Beach House for the warm welcome on our first day, Pinky @ Mekong for being so funny and welcoming, Melan & Priyantha for keeping our lagoon access room in perfect condition and the amazing towel setups for our anniversary.
We look forward to coming back in the future.
Kind regards
Mr & Mrs Koria

We stayed at the north residence on anantara the palm for a week.
The resort itself is beautiful. I loved my walk to the breakfast hall. We had a twin and double room that were connecting , with a sea view, with breakfast included. The view of downtown was beautiful. The breakfast options were delicious.
The staff are wonderful and always happy and willing to help. Especially concierge staff such as Ranjit and the lady who cleaned our rooms. It is really useful that you can use the app to request services such as cleaning services and buggy services. Although in the evening it seems the main hotel gets priorities with the buggies as one evening we had to wait 15+ minutes for one.
The north residence hotel reception and the rooms appear quite basic. The rooms have dark brown furniture. I wouldn’t class them as “luxury” per se. But maybe I am comparing to more modern hotels I have stayed at on the palm.
The pool and beach area are lovely and you can also opt to swim in one of the lagoons which is much more private than the main pool. The private beach was gorgeous.
The location of the hotel is very far down the palm so if you want to explore Dubai and go out and about then this probably isn’t the best hotel for you as it does take a while to get to JBR / downtown etc. but if you want to stay mainly in the resort then it is fine.
One criticism is that there is a big push to join “the vacation club”. As we were walking to breakfast , we were approached every day by a lady or gentleman who tried to push us to attend a presentation for some “free gifts”. I am assuming this is to join a loyalty scheme which has a fee. We didn’t have time to attend but I did notice them putting people under pressure to join the presentation I.e. waiting outside the breakfast hall for people so they can take them to the presentation! The lady asked for my WhatsApp number and she was WhatsApping and calling me for 2 days. Maybe it is best to just deliver some paper information to the room instead and allow the guests to read it in their own time and make the decision to join if they want.
Overall we had a great stay and was very family friendly

This was our second visit to the Anantara Dubai Palm. We loved it so much when we came last year, we decided to come back.
I did request the same room as last year and we did get it so we were really happy. We were arriving in Dubai after a difficult couple of weeks in London for personal reasons and I did request the price of a fruit basket and cheese plate before we arrived. Guest Relations were really kind and they actually gifted us the fruit platter.
Everything we loved about the hotel last year we still loved this year. We had a swim up Lagoon Room which in our eyes is the best room in the whole hotel. As usual, the staff were all amazing and so friendly. As it was the middle of summer housekeeping gave us water 2 to 3 times a day which was really helpful.
We tried all the restaurants except the buffet restaurant, we had breakfast at Revo, lunch at Beach Club and dinner at either Bushman‘s or Mekong. I think because we stayed for 10 days, we probably met all the staff in the restaurants, they were all very sweet and remembered our room number and my drinks preference of frozen cocktails. On our last day of our holiday, the staff at Beach Club gave us a brownie with the message “bon voyage” on the plate, and the staff at Bushman‘s gave us a card saying goodbye.
I also especially want to mention the lifeguards who man the lagoon pools, as one morning there were three children in the pool and not a parent in sight. They kept diving and jumping into the pool even though the lifeguard repeatedly asked them not to. One child was quite a weak swimmer and the lifeguard literally stood over these children to ensure the safety of the little one who couldn’t swim very well. As I said there wasn’t a parent sight so the lifeguard would have no idea which room they came from.
Halfway through our stay guest Relations sent me a text asking how our holiday was going, that was really nice. We told them everything was amazing and we were very happy.
The only complaint I will make is that one day an Asian family who were staying a few rooms away from us were blasting Asian music through a speaker for most of the day. I thought this was quite inconsiderate is not everybody wanted to hear such loud music. No one else did this in the Lagoon rooms ever whilst we were there.
Overall a very happy holiday at Anantara and hopefully we will be back again soon.

Dear jklondon_9, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us on TripAdvisor, and for choosing Anantara the Palm Dubai Resort for your second visit. We are thrilled to hear that you loved your stay as much as your first visit and that we could accommodate your request for the same room. It is heartwarming to know that the fruit platter provided by our Guest Relations team added a special touch after a challenging time in London. Your kind words about the lagoon access room being the best in the resort resonate with us, as we take great pride in offering such unique accommodations. We are also glad that our housekeeping team could keep you refreshed during the summer heat. It is delightful that you enjoyed dining at Revo Cafe, The Beach House, Bushman’s Restaurants and Bar, and Mekong, and that our team members attention to detail, like remembering your room number and drink preferences, made your stay even more enjoyable. The gestures from The Beach House and Bushman's Restaurants Bar teams on your last day truly highlight the level of care and warmth we aim to provide. We appreciate your feedback regarding the lifeguards at the lagoon pools, and we are pleased to hear that they ensured the safety of all guests, especially in challenging situations. Regarding the disturbance from the loud music, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We strive to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for all our guests, and we will address this to ensure a more considerate environment in the future. We are grateful for your continued loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable stay. Best regards, James Hewitson General Manager

Hotel is located around 45 mins in a cab from the airport around £25/£30. As it’s one of last hotels on the palm it takes around 10 minutes to get off the Palm by car.
Hotel is stunning ! In arrival we was greeted with some fresh juice and water - check in is smooth and efficient we arrived around 9am and the room was ready for us with no advance planning which was great !
We opted for the standard room in the holiday package and it’s part of the residential blocks they have either side of the swim up rooms !
The room is great super big comfy bed nice balcony with amazing views of the palm - room is equipped with an iron which is handy !
Great gym.
The pool is area is big there are not rows off subbed everywhere one single file around the pool plus with the swim up rooms there are beds located around the sand and gaps between the huts so very peaceful and quite there ! You ate given fresh towels everyday. The beach is nice soft sand very comfy beds and plenty of space !
Around 2pm everyday a man walks around the pool and beach giving away free ice cream which is really refreshing in the heat - what a great idea !
We stayed half board and there was water given to us in the room if you need anymore the staff are so friendly and helpful and will get you more, but I do recommend buying bigger bottles from a supermarket as they are very pricey in the hotel !
The food is fantastic you have a choice of the buffet which is amazing and the best choice for breakfast too would recommend getting down around 9:30 otherwise it’s double busy ! Included in the half board package you could choose from a following 3 restaurants free of charge ! Those included a steak,Italian and my favourite the Thai , if half board package just have to buy your drinks but if your there between 6:30/7:30pm it’s happy hour but one get one free on all drinks !
Negative 1) after any service you have received the staff will ask you to do a survey and name them - we was there for 2 weeks and it’s just abit annoying at times as you can ask for a fork and someone you have never seen will bring over and ask for the survey and to name them.
Overall the experience was amazing would highly recommend one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in staff are fantastic so friendly and helpful and really made the stay that extra special !

Book outside of school holidays. I would say that this hotel caters for families, there were couples there but if you are like me I prefer to go somewhere where there aren’t children so we booked before UK half term. It was pleasant to walk around the hotel and swimming up to your room was great.

Cannot comment about prebooking a transfer for 8, we always get a taxi outside the airport for our family (2 adults, 2 children) never a shortage and very quick.
All restaurants are included in the half board but certain dishes carry a surcharge in the a la carte restaurants

We stayed twice last year in a lagoon access room for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 9) there is a large king-size bed and a double size day bed in the window bay.On our 2nd stay there was also a fold out bed between our bed and the day bed but made the room very cramped so we had removed as our children are happy to share
There are more places to choose from in the Dubai area.
