Booked this place very last minute as we were originally supposed to be going to Abu Dhabi but due to restriction changes headed to Dubai instead. We arrived at around 3:30am and the staff were helpful loading our luggage out of the taxi and check in was quick. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment and was super spacious for the three of us and the bedding was clean and comfortable. Was super handy having a kitchen and washing facilities.
The property itself is about a 10 minute walk to the Mall of the Emirates, 6 minutes walk to the Metro station and just across the road is a 24/7 shop which is handy when you arrive at all hours of the day + it is cheaper than Waitrose or Carrefour so is good to stock up on water and snacks from here.
The staff were really helpful with getting our paperwork printed for free as we needed a negative PCR test certificate for our onwards flight and they were prompt to organise this for us.
They did mention that we could not have any guests up with us but this wasn't an issue for any of us.

Do not plan a stay at this hotel if you are an unmarried couple. They will ask to see a marriage certificate & if you don't produce, only one person may use the reservation. Your partner cannot even visit past the lobby!!!

the room is gigantic and clean with its own balcony/safe/flat screen tv/3 tables/5 chairs. the studio room I booked has a kichenette with 2 electric burners, a microwave, a fridge, a sink, and kitchen utensils/plates, etc. It's pretty awesome! the shower's is terrific (hot and great water pressure). Wifi is free and it works fine most of the time! Burj al arab, the sailboat hotel, is visible from the roof-top pool which is not heated. it's probably warm enough to swim in during the day but it's kind of chilly at night in december. the outdoor hot tub is nice though. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

It's off of the main street so it's pretty quiet although some traffic noise/other guests can be heard at times. From the Mall of the Emirates, take the exit near Ski Dubai (Kempinski Hotel). Turn left and walk straight towards all the hotels. When you see Holiday Inn, turn left and go straight for a short block. You'll see the hotel on your left hand side. It's less than 10 minutes on foot from the mall. Sharaf metro station is slightly closer than the Mall of the Emirates station.

By taxi from the hotel, it's about 50-60 aed to Global Village (30 minutes) and about 26 dirhams to Atlantis The Palm. It costs less than 15 aed to Madinat Souk Jumeirah by taxi. There's a subway downstairs.

Dreadful, only way to sum it up. Room old and dated. Weird rules about having no guests even though they offer monthly rates. Pool was falsely advertised as being open but then was suddenly closed. Has cracked tiles, in very bad shape. Children allowed to swim without lifeguard on duty. Cleaners come at all hours of the day and took drinks. Staff on reception not allowed to do anything, including taking payment! Manager never there in the day. Find anywhere else, it will be better.

I stayed at this hotel earlier in the year. When I arrived, I was immediately told I could not have a man in my room. I had no intention of having a man in my room and had booked a room with 2 single beds as a female friend was planning to join me. I was followed around and felt very uncomfortable during my stay. I can only assume the management thought I was planning to use the room for illicit purposes as I arrived late at night with a small amount of luggage. I had emailed the hotel and told them I was arriving on a late flight from Muscat, but they still were very suspicious of my intentions.

Experience was horrible. Refused to provide the room even after having pre-reservation. No prior notification that it family hotel. Finally, they cancelled the booking with the compromise with the free cancellation and informed that it will refund within 10 to 15 working days of the bank. I wait for the 20 days and called the hotel and bank both. But both calming spoke to each other and not assisting on the said situation.

As per hotel, they cancelled the booking and bank stated that money still on hotel.

Booking made for the 11Dec 2019.

I sent official email hotel as well as bank, but still after 25 days, i didnt received any response.

I would recommend you not to book such hotel who doesnt care about the customer.

Really bad ending of the year.

We booked a two bedroom deluxe apartment (Room # 111). As we were traveling with family and with our own car, the underground parking was very convenient as outside its difficult to find and not free. The staff was very nice & helpful. The check-in process hardly took 5 mins. The rooms were very clean and overall hotel looks newly built. Free wifi was accessible in rooms as well as in public areas. There was a huge drawing / dining room and kitchen is equipped with everything a home has. I selected this hotel because of its location although. All the new city sightseeing points are near like Mall of the emirates, jumeira beach and burj dubai and most of all the metro station is at walking distance. No need to go in crampy and rush areas like deira and bur dubai. From rooftop where the pool is, you can see Mall of the emirates and burj-al-arab.

I would come here again and recommend others specially people with families as there is no such things here like clubs etc.

I am currently staying in the Akas Inn and have been here 5 nights of a 10 night break. The location is excellent and is a short 5 minute walk from the Mall of the Emirates. However, the accommodation does leave a lot to be desired. We booked a Studio Room and on arrival were told that a Studio was not currently available, so we had been upgraded free of charge to a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment itself is very spacious and is clean enough. However, being situated next to the Garbage Room, one of the bathrooms constantly smells revolting. There also seems to be a water leak in the kitchen coming from under the sink and water seems to be coming up from the drain on the kitchen floor. Also, in the main bathroom the ceiling appears to leak water presumably when the guest in the room above is having a bath or shower. The main problem with this accommodation is the Swimming Pool area. There is a total of 4 sunbeds to cater for all guests. What's worse is that 1 of these sunbeds is badly broken and is dangerous to go anywhere near, especially a child. The other 3 sunbeds all have big cracks in them. There were 10 people up at the pool yesterday, with only 3 sunbeds between them. The swimming pools have most of their tiles missing, not just missing, but tiles piled up on the poolside that kid's were playing with. The jacuzzi has holes in the floor where tiles have come off and i cut my foot on entering. Having told the staff on reception of the sunbeds and safety issue with the swimming pool and broken tiles, they seemed unconcerned, almost humouring me in the hope i would let the issue drop. They didn't seem to think it was an issue that people had nowhere to sit at the swimming pool and after 5 minutes told me 'new sunbeds were on their way.' I showed him the photo of the sunbed that was literally broken in half and told him at the very least it should be removed so somebody doesn't get hurt. After he wrote down a couple of words on his pad, and me feeling like this was going in through one ear and out of the other, i left in the hope that the next day some of these issues would be resolved. Walked upto the pool area this morning, the jacuzzi is empty and now out of use for 'maintenance work'. However, the broken sunbed is still there and no extra sunbeds have appeared. The whole pool area is poorly maintained and the staff don't seem too concerned at any issues their guests have. The hotel itself is nice, the location is excellent, but if you are looking to use a swimming pool on your trip to Dubai, then i would strongly advise you stay somewhere else.

Hotel is ok but that is not the issue, the issue was that when i checked in i was asked if i wanted to pay at start of stay or when checking out. I decided to pay at checking out time and then for some funny reason i was asked to provide the debit card i used to book my stay, at the same time the guy said that i would NOT be charged and that i could pay cash at end of stay. I gave the reference number from Booking.com which i used to book my stay. Had decent stay payed for my stay in FULL, but when i returned to the UK i found that Akas Inn had taken money from my account without my authorisation. Having a hard time getting my money back !!! Stay Away from this Fraud of a Hotel !!!!

Arrived at hotel and asked to see the studio room before booking it. Bell boy brings me to the room and it STINKS. Such an awful smell and when i asked why is there this smell, the bel boy replied that he cant smell anything. He then agrees that there is a horrid smell and that some air freshner will get rid of it. I'm sorry but it won't.
When I went down and spoke to the manager, he replied, its your feelings sir. What is that supposed to mean?

Stay away if you can. Better hotels in the area

Actually M. Sorry can't remember the exact name they gave to my roomType, but it accommodated 3 of us . 3 adults. What I can be more sure of is that after I booked on booking and was free cancelation, I emailed the hotel and they were very clear and replied to all. My questions. So I advise u to do the same, and that way, if the toom needs an additional bed, like in mY case, they will arrange for u. When I stayed there, the extra bed was free, so make sure that policy still valid. I hope I was of a help, and if u need any additional inquiries, let me know. Hotel staff were very polite and responsive, I hope they still, so emailing them will. Surely make u feel more sure

There is no bar in the hotel. You need to get your own stock preferably from the airport duty free. Since liquor is not available outside in the city.

the hotel is in between 2 metro stations sharaf DG is closer about 300 meters while the mall of the emirates metro is about 500 meters , overall you can use any of the metro stations.
