Stayed as part of Dubai Connect (Emirates airline) for free. Convenient as we had an overnight layover. This gave us a chance to have a decent sleep and freshen up. Breakfast was provided and was a buffet style with ample food.

This hotel was terrible. The staff was friendly but the room itself looked like a minimum security prison. My wife and I were put in a room with two single beds that had rough sheets. There was only one towel in the shower and there...More

The two hour tour was a total waste of time and money. We drove past items of interest that were indicated on the brochure, at speed, with a 5 minute stop to take photos of an remarkable mosque, the Jumeirah Beach where we could see the Burj Al Arab from afar and and then the Burj Khalifa from across the road. The greatest amount of time, half an hour, on the tour was taken up by a stop over at an empty shopping centre, Saga World, which we were told was a Cultural Centre, where we were taken into a room and offered overly expensive items. On our refusal to purchase, were promptly escorted out to wait in the car park - photos were prohibited, as was browsing. Do not go on this tour, unless you like to pay good money to sit in a car park. It is easier to catch the local rail for next to nothing and make your way into the Burj Khalifa to see it and the fountain, or a taxi to be taken to markets and other more interesting sites!
