Stayed here for two nights, nice hotel. Didn't use the pool or sauna, Chinese restaurant was very good. Has English pub in hotel. Very close to the museum and creek! Staff were so helpful, best staff I've ever seen in a hotel! Would return for that!

We stayed here for 2 nights on a layover between the US and South Africa. The hotel is old style, but is very clean and in a great location near the creek. You would do better to stay near the beach if you are interested in the water park- which is about a 15 minute (but inexpensive) taxi ride from...

I have been staying at the Arabian Courtyard Hotel at least 5 or 6 times a year for several years now. I love the location and I am able to take a long peaceful walk along the creek every morning for exercise. The hotel has alot of Old World charm, is very clean and the staff is always very friendly...

The Arabian Courtyard Hotel is partly old fashioned but with very nice and helpful staff. The fist night the hotel was so booked, I had to stay in smoking room which was disgusting (because of the smoke...) The rooms are pretty large, the furniture has already seen some guests, but it is clean and the location of the hotel in...

we stayed three days and two nights in this hotel and we can only say that we wish it had been a lot longer, the staff were very polite and very courteous, nothing seemed to much trouble for them. it is ideally situated for the markets on both sides of the creek, in fact it is very pleasant and quaint...

Loved our stay in old world type hotel without all the glitz of chain hotels. all the staff were without exception genuinely welcoming. Great location for sightseeing the city and river. Breakfast good but Sherlock Holmes restaurant mediocre and seemed food came from the main restaurant.

This was our second stay at this hotel in two years. This hotel is situated in the old part/city of Dubai, directly opposite the museum. This rooms are spacious and with comfortable linen and bedding. The toilet/bathroom are well stocked. Buffet breakfast is nothing to write home about and if you arrive late, disappointment will await you. The spa service...

This hotel is perfectly situated in old Dubai, perfect for visiting the Textile Souk and a short trip across the creek to the gold & spice Souks. The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean. We had the VIP package which is a nice bonus with a few perks in the hotel. There are four restaurants in the hotel which...

From the moment we arrived we loved this hotel, even though we arrived late (3am) we were greeted with fresh juice and warm smiles. Our family suite was lovely with a view across to the Dubai Museum. You can wander down to the Creek and check out the Souks and the metro is a short walk away. We only stayed...

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
