In a time when the world was panicked over the newness of the COVID-19 Pandemic the hotel staff provided a warm and welcoming environment. You were able to see the extra care they took with all public areas and the rooms received extra attention. Even though the world was in uncertainty, I was able to rest and make my connections flight with easy and security.

I travel often so finding an exceptional transit hotel is a blessing. And the Dubai International Hotel exceeded my expectations especially since I booked at the last minute (I hadn’t realized I had booked an 7 hour layover in Dubai. Lol). But the night before I traveled I made the reservation and followed up with an email to get directions from the gate.

Not only did the property staff follow up in a timely way, they had a representative meet me at my gate and walk me through security to the hotel. I was very fortunate to be assigned staff member Ronaldo who was helpful after a long flight and also very engaging.

Once we arrived at reception it was less than 5 minutes to get me to my room. Again, staff took my luggage and ensured that the AC was on in the room. The amenities included are exactly what any transit traveler needs: Bottled water, free WiFi, robes, plush towels, comfortable bed, slippers, shower products. There’s also an iron and board just in case. Seriously - every detail has been thoughtfully considered.

Most importantly, the location was only a 5 minute walk to the Emirates lounge for my early morning flight and about an additional 3 minutes to my gate. I did not have to go through security again. There’s a pharmacy right next to this hotel at the B corridor and so many shopping/restaurant options. Talk about making it easy.

Other reviews have complained about the price. I see it very differently especially compared to the States and Europe. I usually pay more in the States for a transit hotel with fewer amenities. And in Europe, my transit hotel experiences have also been more expensive.
Travel can be stressful so I’m happy to pay more for such a high quality experience.

Bottom line - I highly recommend this property as a transit option in Dubai 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I booked the hotel 2 days before our flight there which was to come with a rep to meet us at the gate and provide a fruit basket. The registration process does not indicate that the 6 hr rate starts from the time period that you enter the room. It would have been helpful to see that in the description on their site.
You also can't book a room for check in and check out on the same day although that was our specific case....arriving at 1am and leaving at 6am.
First the good: Although our flights were delayed an hour, it was very nice for them to follow our flight we registered and meet us at our gate to navigate us to our room.
The room looked very comfortable and inviting after flying for 12 hours and arriving at 2:00am.
The wake up call recording came through on time.
Then the bad:
Just before the rep left us he let us know the fruit basket was available on request. At this point I just wanted to sleep. I expected the fruit basket in the room, not having to ask additionally for it an delay the few hours we'd have to sleep. This sounds like an intentional plan to limit their costs. Who is going to ask for it when there are only 4 hrs to sleep? It would have been nice to have it in the room already so we could eat some prior to our flight.
The sheets smelled like they had been exposed to a fire on one side and smelled like someone had slept in them already without being changed on the other side.
The shower floor was dirty and mostly cold water only trickled out. Knowing I'd be flying for another 14 hours from Dubai to Boston I was desperate for a shower and decided to see if I could actually rinse . It was a mistake. Right after I shampood the water stopped. I had to rinse out my hair with the few bottled water bottles I had as no water came out of the tap either.
I attempted to contact the main desk and no one answered. It was bad enough to be in this position with little time prior to my next flight but to not answer the phones was unacceptable.
The wake up call that came in was only a recording so no human was able to answer what was going on.
We ended up leaving expecting to be reimbursed for our room. Due to additional delays due to the "once a year rain deluge" that caused flooding and the fact that all bathrooms in Concorse B were closed due to the water stoppage that affected the hotel, we made our way back to the hotel room.
They allowed us to re-check in and since they had gotten their water back I was able to complete a shower and relax on the bed until the 9:50 flight that never actually happened until 3pm. Due to the further delay we were intersted in trying to eat something prior to the flight. There were 2 different reference to room service but it neglected to indicate it wasn't avaialble for Concorse B, the room location we were in. Yet another disappointment. Why have these menus when nothing is available?
It was nice to have the extra time in the room despite all this so at least they gave us that.

We had a stopover of 9 hours between our flight coming from Zurich and our flight to Delhi. I was eligible for complementary access to Emirates Lounge at the Airport but my wife and kid was not. So we had two options, one to pay for the lounge access which was $100 for 4 hours per person or go for the transit hotels. 9 hours between flight is just too much!!!! I preferred to go with Dubai International Hotel.

The hotel is very conveniently located and close to the transit gates. Since we required the room for approx 7 hours, we were offered an option to go for superior room with complementary unlimited food at the restaurant. We went for it. The room was very well maintained and big by any standard. There was separate areas for shower and also bathtub. We must admit after the night flight, we could not avail much of the facilities and after the breakfast just dozed off. Breakfast option was also elaborate. Every thing was neatly done and organised.

I would always recommend to go for this hotel for long stopovers rather than paying for lounge access.

We had a 6 hour layover in the Dubai Airport in the middle of the night (between 2 am and 8 am) and because we had taken that trip before, spending the night in uncomfortable airport chairs, we decided to splurge on a short term stay at this hotel. It was brilliant! We were picked up at disembarking, taken straight through security and then led through the terminal to check in. Very shortly thereafter we could take a shower in our large comfortable room and sleep a few hours in a supercomfy bed. We had a wakeup call just half an hour before boarding our next flight, dropped our keys by the elevator and to it down right into the terminal and the gates. The real time saver is that you stay within the security zone at all times, and do not have to go through security checks before you board your next flight. Arrived att home feeling refreshed and normal instead of exhausted. Worth every penny and I highly recommend it for any longer layover.

Lovely and convenient hotel thats actually in the airport. So convenient because you dont need to go through airport security to get to your room. I decided to book because we had a 7 hour layover in Dubai on an outbound leg that was a total of 27 hours. You can book rooms in a 4-6 hour, 7-12 hour or longer package. We had a pickup service where hotel staff pick you up from arrivals terminal and take you to the hotel. Hotel is in terminal 3 which is where my flights arrived and departed from. The check in process was smooth and efficient. We booked a room with queen sized bed. The room was spotless, good climate control, bathroom with great towels, extra dental kits, slippers and soaps, bed with soft sheets and fluffy pillows. Room had a view to the airport concourse and the room was large enough and had a daybed you could probably sleep 3 people in a pinch. We ordered room service English Breakfast and Arabic Breakfast. Both were pricey but tasty and on par with the costs at other hotels where the room rate is in the $240-250 range. I was pleased with the Arabic breakfast and would order it again though it could feed 2 people since it had hummus, grilled haloumi and olives, a brown bean dish, 2 eggs and lots of warm pita, tea/coffee and juice. If ever I transit through Dubai I would definitely stay here again as it was a pleasant experience and I didnt even sample most of the amenities of the hotel (bars, pools, spas, restaurant etc) since my flight arrived at 2am and my next flight departed at 9am.

Dubai Intl has you covered for a long layover! The good: once you navigate to this hotel from the aircraft (which might take a while at Dubai) you will have someone waiting to help you find your way, a very nice touch.

At the check-in counter you will know this is not a 5-star hotel, but you will also know it is convenient and clean. This hotel allows you to stay "inside the terminal" and thus avoid customs altogether if you have a long layover.

The room was loaded with the little things (free water, free toothbrush and toothpaste...). Decent size room, nice bed, quiet!

But, the internet is awful. I suspect this is because it doesn't require a password. I noticed when I was walking the mall or eating at the lounge I (and therefore everyone) had access to the hotel's wifi. I was unable to make a Facetime audio connection with the limited bandwidth.

Location is the true winner at Dubai Intl.

We stayed here overnight on our way home from the Maldives (with our 2 boys under 6)

We were met as we walked off the plane by a professional friendly gentleman who swiftly (and kindly.. my boys were tired and hyper!) escorted us through the airport into the hotel.

Quick check-in to two adjoining rooms which were lovely and modern and clean. Toiletries etc were provided and we woke up refreshed and ready for the next leg of the journey. All it took was a lift down 2 floors to the main airport floor, time for some duty free shopping (which is 24hrs) and our departure gate was right there.

Despite the location the rooms must be expertly soundproofed as we didn’t hear a thing all night and all slept very soundly.

Never stayed in a hotel on a layover before (and certainly not such a luxury hotel) but decided to go for it with three young kids. It was awesome. Definitely pay the little bit extra for the executive room. The room was unbelievable - biggest hotel room I've ever been in, absolute luxury. Everything you need - huge bath, shower, toiletries, lots of bottled water and teas, coffees etc. We booked the swimming pool on arrival - you have to book it and get the whole place to yourself with covid. We got it for an hour but we could have had it longer, no one else was using it or waiting. It was amazing, especially with kids to blow off steam. Food in the restaurant which was right by reception when you check in is free if you are in the executive room. We only had one meal but it was served promptly and was all lovely. Would definitely go back again and recommend to others. Also the meet and greet that you get guaranteed in an executive room was worth the price in itself, made it so easy on arrival.

I checked in at midnight and left very early morning did not check the food

Not totally sure we were met at about 00:15am by the meet and greet service who took us to the hotel, then the next flight we had was 10am next morning, it’s a hell of a lot nicer having a decent sleep in the hotel though rather that hanging around the terminal
