Have stayed here many times and this hotel should be the top favourite choice if anyone wishes to stay in or around Meena Bazar, Bur Dubai. Starting from its idealistic location, courteous staff, decent rooms, free wifi (Most 03* Hotels dont provide), tea / coffee maker machine, this hotel has everything one should expect from a 03* hotel. The nearest... More

Plus point about the hotel is the location, metro station is right outside so is carrefour super market & lots of other small shops which makes it easy & comfortable to travel. Rooms were nice & decent. Dont expect any five star facilities its a basic budget hotel. Breakfast buffet is... More

Stayed with friends for 6 nights end of June 2014. Pro: friendly management, close to metro and bus station, breakfast is ok, the restaurant is Indian, but they also have European or Chinese food. Bad: very old hotel with not so clean rooms,AC badly positioned inside the balcony and very noisy and the bathroom was not cold water. Pub music... More

Recently stayed at the Ambassador which is close to the Creek and restored part of Old Dubai; in fact Dubai was built around it. Not only is it reasonably priced but you get a little bit of Bombay thrown in as the hotel seems to be owned and managed and staffed with people from that city so you can expect... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
