The hostal colonial has a great location. When we first checked in there was no hot water but if was fixed quickly. Breakfast was good. The staff was really helpful in guiding us around. Overall you get good value for money here we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has comfortable and warm rooms, which is very, very key! And there is very hot water for the shower - a big, big plus. The rooms are not authentic and old like outside appear a bit cheap. The floor is made of plastic fake wood and is creaky and uneven. The furniture is a bit cheap looking too...

We'd originally booked the Hostal Tukos la Casa Real but left after seeing how nasty their rooms were. Hostal Colonial staff were warm & welcoming. The room was clean with wood floors and charming details. The front desk clerk was helpful & helped us schedule travel when a transportation strike changed our plans. We were so grateful to find this...

Big room with a nice bathroom and shower for a fair price, breakfast buffé was included. WiFi worked well. The staff were friendly and helpfull. I booked a tour to the mines through the reception. I would definitely stay there again.

This spartan rooms of this hotel would make it a 2 star hotel in the US were it not for how gorgeous the building is. The stucco courtyards are quiet and really make you feel Potosí's colonial history. The laundry service was handy, especially after I returned from a stint in Uyuni. The location right by the Plaza Principal is...

This is a ONE star hotel, if you expect something more, don't come here. Anyway this is a Hostel not a Hotel, our agency booked it for us, but it was a big mistake! Personals are friendly, but rooms are old and unconfortable. WiFi is free, but slowly as anywhere else in Bolivia.

Great location a block from Plaza. Front desk was quite helpful. Room wasnt bad and had a nice courtyard view. Breakfast was good although coffee was utterly terrible! Potosi is a funky, interesting town. Hard to believe now that it was one of the richest cities in the world back in the day - but take one look at some...

Unlike other reviewers, we had a large second-floor room with a spacious bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Although the front desk staff did not speak English, they were most accommodating and helpful with luggage and getting us settled. They also let us use their telephone to make several calls after my wife had her passport stolen at a cafe on...

The hotel is very well located just a block from the main square which made walking around the main sights of Potosi very easy. The hotel is a lovely old colonial building (as its name suggests) & they we busy re-painting the courtyard exteriors when we were there. The rooms are pretty basic & quite dark but they serve their...

I stayed there for one night. I thought it was a charming hotel. But this was a big mistake. Staff people are friendly and location is great, just at the centre of the town, near the main Square and the museums. However, rooms are tiny, and bathroom even more. I had to change room twice because of problems with cleanliness...
