This is no way 15 minutes downhill walk, at least 20minutes to the Plaza 25 de Mayo! And longer on the up hill way back. Although it's 10bob taxi (2 person) each way. There are no shops or restaurants near by. The building itself is really nice, our 6 bed dorm room was spacious and had a large locker to... More

The hostel itself is quite good with a nice backyard. The kitchen and bathrooms should be cleaned more often. You need at least 15min to walk to the city and 20min (up-hill) back. We booked online a 4-bed room and ended up in a 6-bed room and had to argue with the staff that we would not like to have... More

We arrived around 11 pm in the hostel. We booked online for a private double room, when the guy showed us the room it was not yet cleaned. He even asked us if the yoghurt and the cups were ours!! It smelled very badly of sigarettes and there was no window. We asked for another room, we got a triple... More

I chose the HI hostel only for its location near the bus station. It felt like a heaven to arrive there after constant freezing in Potosi. The beds were comfortable and the rooms nice and warm. The beds have personal reading lamps!!! The owner and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I stayed in the 6-room dormitory for almost... More

We arrived at the bus station in the evening after a long journey and went to HI Sucre because it was five minutes' walk away. The only room they could offer us was 200 Bs which is expensive for Bolivia, especially a hostel. We stayed because it was late but found it to be very poor value for money. The... More

It's rather far from the city centre but if you like/want some walking, it's ok, one street up and down. Ask room 26 or 27 if you're with 2, great rooms. Service and organisation of hostal are worthless (a lot of volunteers over there) but if you can manage your one holidays no prob and if you want to take... More

Overall, this was a good place to stay (and a welcome relief after the horrible place in Potosi!). It was clean, had comfy beds and DUVETS (hurray!)! The shared bathrooms were kept clean and had hot water (had to wait a little while for it to come through one morning but it did eventually.!). The staff were friendly. It was... More
