we loved our 5 nights at Casa Verde. Rene keeps the place immaculately clean, the beds are super comfy, and it's great to have the use of a kitchen. He gave us a discount as we opted not to have the breakfast every day, although we did treat ourselves to it on the final day and it was delicious.

Casa Verde is probably the best accommodation we have stayed in in over 3 months in south america. The owner, Rene from Belgium, is very friendly and helpful and has built a beautiful guesthouse in a very beautiful city. Breakfast was excellent, the room was big, lovely wooden floors and ceiling beams with clean and spacious ensuite. The cherry on...

Casa Verde is 4 blocks from the main plaza and 4 blocks from the Recoleta mirador. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. (hint: the key opens the front door) The rooms were good size although the walls are thin. But no problem as there are no party kids. The breakfast included was good with real coffee, eggs,...

Two of us stayed four nights at Casa Verde and it was like visiting the house of a friend. Rene, the owner makes you feel very much at home, is helpful with practical tips for seeing sights, getting taxis, places to eat, etc. Full breakfast and open kitchen for making snacks, tea, etc. Beds are new, towels big, room and...

We stayed at Casa Verde for four nights and were so happy that we chose this hostel after reading all the good reviews. Rene, the Belgian owner, is a lovely host. He told us about the life in Bolivia, the people and the culture so we could imagine what the country is going through. We had a very spacious room...

I echo what all of the other reviews say below. My husband and I arrived from Potosi and intended to stay in Sucre just a few days and stayed an entire week. Coming to Casa Verde is like coming home, especially after a few days of getting through the salt flats. Rene is an absolute gem. So smiley, friendly, happy...

My husband and I stayed at Casa Verde B&B for 2 nights. Rene, the Belgium owner is the friendliest and most helpful host we've encountered since we started traveling in South America 3 month ago. The hostel is very conviniently located only 3 blocks from the main square. The room was spotless clean and we were given a nice big...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Casa Verde for 2 weeks while studying spanish in one of the local schools. The owner Rene is a really friendly guy that makes you feel at home at once and is a fountain of knowledge on Sucre. The guesthouse itself is beautifully finished, with spacious comfortable rooms and a lovely common area. I...

We planned to stay a week but stayed three! Rene is great, got up to let us in at 5.30am on our arrival from Tupiza, and from that moment on we felt at 'home'. Breakfast is wonderful, juice, fruit, bacon and eggs and breads and jam, plus tea and coffee; there's a lovely courtyard to relax in that catches the...

Rene is a good host and cooks the eggs and bacon. Coffee is good, not the standard Bolivian black water. The price encludes breakfast. Other placed do not and charge more or a little less, If you buy breakfast at a resturant it will cost 12 Bs (1.70 USD) to 25Bs (3.60 USD). He has Juice, fruit, bread, butter, ceral,...
