The Parador Santa Maria la Real hotel is definitely a good place to spend your time in Sucre, yet some things could have been done better. The location of the hotel is very central, close to the main square and to a variety of nice restaurants. The structure itself is beautiful and well maintained. The presence of free WiFi was... "Feeling at home" could possibly be the greatest travel cliché. However, Parador Santa Maria Real makes this sentence relevant in every sense. The day starts with home baked delicious pastries like Quiche Lorraine (better than the French one); Apple Strudle with tender caramelized apples and honey; cheese empanadas and marraqueta (street food brought to a whole different level); coffee from... This beautiful hotel is a beautiful colonial structure located a block away from the main square and cathedral. You can walk to pretty much all of Sucre's attractions from here. The hotel is well layed out in quadrangles with open courtyards that let in a lot of light. There are two miradores/ terraces that offer great views of the city.... More

This hotel made our visit to Sucre worthwhile. It ranks as one of our favorite hotels in So. America. Not only is it visually beautiful, but the owner and staff make you feel like one of their family! We spent two quiet nights in a second floor room with a large balcony that overlooked the red tiled roofs and white... More

This is a stunning property and definitely the place to stay in Sucre. My husband and I only stayed for 1 night but very much enjoyed it. We were lucky to stay in a Junior Suite which was beautifully furnished with antiques and had a little Juliet balcony and views over the roof tops. There is definitely a lot of... More

Loved this hotel. It's a beautiful colonial mansion just 1 block from the main square. Our room was on the 2nd floor around the corner from the elevator. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets cause it was a little cold, and the shower had lots of hot water. My only complaint is we were told that their bus... More

Situated in the centre of Sucre the hotel is a peaceful haven with a wonderful roof terrace where you can sit and look out over the city. The rooms are well furnished and there is plenty of hot water - you just might need to wait 5 minutes for it to get through to your shower.
