They are trying hard grandma and her grandson, but cannot keep staff. Room was clean, bed comfortable, big problem musty, room was smelly. The have done a average job of updating and cleaning. It was reasonably priced. I may stay again

Hello eyesdoit. Thank you for your honest review of our motel. I agree that Grandma - we like to call her Joyce:) - tries very hard and is an excellent employee! She's kind of a local legend. To us, she is everything that is good about Minnesota - nice and hard-working. If you have time, please email me personally about...

My son and I have been coming to Ada for the last four years for hunting. Unfortunately for us our old motel closed in Fertile. We were fortunate enough to hear about the Norman Motel. When you are in a secluded area you really don't have many choices for a motel. Every year it is obvious how the owners and...

We both camped here (the have a spot for RVs) and used the motel. We had a hard time finding anyone manning the desk - had to call two numbers and after awhile someone showed up. He seemed unsure what to charge. We were overcharged over 350 dollars and when I called to address it (I had to "discover" it...

I have started a response to this several time, but every time I do, I hear my mama's voice saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say..." What I will say is that there are two sides to every story, and I don't think this is a fair representation of this one. Please know that this is a small,...

We stayed at the Norman Motel for the first time this past weekend. I grew up in the area and the property was not noted well then, but we thought we'd give it a try for one night. Our room was very clean. We had a queen sized bed, a couch, a couple lamps and chairs, and a refinished table...

We have been staying at the Norman for the last couple of years and it is always excellent! The rooms have been newly updated with all new beds and bedding (VERY comfortable), new LCD TVs, refrigerators and microwaves. One of the owners, Sandy, is very very nice and does her best to fulfill any special requests. For a small-town motel...

The rooms look beautiful. We stayed in the king suite and it was so beautiful. The lady was so nice. The bed was amazing. I need that at my place. Will be staying here every month when I come down. Everything is updated. The showers are awesome. It looks like a 4 star hotel on the inside. The outside doesn't...

Just got home from a trip to see family. Stayed at the Norman. New owners are re-doing the whole place. Still obviously an old motel, but everything is freshly painted, all new flooring, beds, TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves. Bathrooms are very nice, new tile showers. Curiously, no telephones. But who doesn't carry their own these days, right? It's not luxurious, but...

Very comfortable, very clean rooms, the staff will do anything to help make your stay welcoming. I would highly recommend this place. It's not fancy, but you have everything you need. The staff is wonderful!

The room that we were in had new furniture and the bathroom was recently remodeled. New memory foam mattresses, mini-fridge and microwave. There is no wi-fi, but had a personal hotspot, so that wasn't an issue. Very clean....no bugs....and comfortable place to be in the middle of a blizzard. Well worth the $60/night.

The rooms were remodeled with all new furniture. There were no bed bugs. The room felt more like a guest room at someone's house than a hotel room, but it had all the amenities. TV, mini fridge, microwave, etc...
