After a disasterous start of my stayng in Cotonou (hotel du Port), I finally managed to get available accomodation at the Hotel du Lac, and never regretted it. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel more than a simple customer. My room (I was in 018, over the lagoon) are big et well furnished, with an extra-large bed,...

I had not been to Cotonou for 20 years and really did not know what to expect - the country has made great progress, and this hotel has clearly benefited from both business and tourism. The pool, in particular, is big enough for high diving and swimming competitions - not something I've ever seen in an African hotel before. The...

Nicely maintained hotel... with ongoing maintenance work. Few breakfast options but a great view of the shanty beaches across the lagoon! Staff are friendly, some rooms are rather small, while others are spacious but not properly arranged. The gym is ok and the pool is quite big, with a big playing area for children. I would recommend the hotel if...

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dinner is served on the terrace and is a nice place to hang out and bring your laptop. Hotel provides free internet and is available on the terrace. Located in the city and close to government offices. Has an outdoor pool to cool off in.

This hotel has an ideal location, where the River Ouémé meets the Atlantic Ocean, and there are magnificent views from the restaurant terrace, where traditional West African dishes are served alongside the Lebanese standards that have become typical in West Africa. My room was spacious but in need of some cleaning. The staff are friendly - as you would expect...

Stayed a week in a room on the 4th floor which I can recommend for the view. Room was spacious and clean, the AC was a bit loud though. A friendly staf, good food and drinks. There is a nice pool which gets used to given swimming lessons to the happy few in Cotonou. I can recommend a boat trip...

I spent four nights here while on delayed travel. The room was big and very clean, the swimming pool excellent. Food for breakfast was average and the restaurant food was OK, except for the Pizza which was outstanding. Staff were courteous and friendly but for most their English is limited. No English menu in the restaurant. By West African standards...

This is one of the best choices in Cotonou. The rooms are fine for a reasoanble price. The view from the waterfront terrace is great. The food is good. From there you can take a boat to Ganvie, the stilt village in the lagoon.

good hotel on many fronts, especially the Lebanese menu on the terrace overlooking the lagoon. However the rooms can be a bit dark, dingy and damp smelling. some of the rooms at the lagoon level are looking a bit tatty. Overall service is good, if a bit slow. There are better places to stay in Cotonou!

The last 20 years I have stayed in 6 different hotels in Cotonou. This one is the most expensive for me price wise but has a lot of good points. The terrace is the nicest in Cotonou with a great view during day and evening that I know. The service is good, however wifi could be better. As many flights...
