My five friends and I stayed in 'El Tipi' and loved it! The space was so unique, yet very functional and comfortable. We had a great view overlooking the town and the lake. The workers were very kind and helpful. We used the hot tub, but it did cost extra. The only downside was how warm our room got in...

Las Olas is gloriously beautiful and bonkers. Amazing accommodation and views, everything is so well thought out and designed and it's by far the best hotel we've stayed in in 7 weeks in South America.

This place was by far the best place we stayed during 2 months in South America. The rooms are really amazing, each with their own individual design and are all extremely spacious with fantastic views across Copacabana. The staff try very hard, even with somewhat limited English and the owner is great. A little more expensive than average for Bolivia...

If you see this area from below, you would think you were transported to Barcelona. Once you are up close and personal, you feel like you have been transported into the homes of the Flintstones. This is a good thing, no mistakes about it. Each little dome like house is different in character. Ours was a huge round room with...

Las olas is an attraction itself. Each small house has its own character and a wonderful view of the lake that you can enjoy from your little garden, having an alpaca by your side. Everything is thought to optimize your stay. The kitchen is well equipped (there is no fride but you can leave perishable food in the reception fridge)...

The lonely planet is a very fickle friend. Some of it's glowing reviews clearly the product of free kickbacks or a blinkered writer. Las Olas however is simply a superb hotel, with stunning views over both the town of copacabana and lake titikaka. The rooms are quirky in the best sense, some shaped like upright seashells, others like glass fronted...

We just stayed for one night at Las Olas. But after our experience at snowy Huayna Potosi, we enjoyed the perfect scenery and the chill out time we had at Las Olas. The rooms are all unique and beautiful. If you have the chance to stay there - do it!

We loved Las Olas!! We stayed 4 nights in one of the fairy huts. We had three floors with a great view of Lake Titicaca, was very close to the shore with easy access to the beach and town. The owner was very accommodating. The wi-fi was not as strong as we would have liked but still worked.

Probably the best place to stay in Copacabana. Stayed in two different cabins both differently gorgeous with an excellent view of the lake. Great beds, big bathroom, fireplace for the cold nights of Titicaca. Kitchen with good basic setup. Use the hot tub outside in the night, amazing. Cleanliness good but could be better. No restaurant or cafeteria but there...

I found this place online by pure luck and it's one of the most amazing places I've stayed! Two of us stayed in Suite 7, the sea tower, which is spacious and absolutely the cutest place ever. We used the fire place at night and words could not describe how much we loved it. All the other suites are super...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dear tourist, hostel "Las Olas" is placed on a hill side over looking lake Titicaca. From any of the seven suites you have a marvellous view over the bay and the lake. You have spacious gardens with hammocks and deck chairs on the different terraces leading down the hill side. On our grounds you can use a fire place and we have several stone tables and benches to eat outside to enjoy the views. For those who love plants and flowers, you will find an enormous variety of predominantly local species. All suites have been individually designed, using as many natural and local materials as possible and respecting traditional ways of construction. They provide a maximum comfort and you will find many artistic details for the eye. From your living room area, from your bed and almost from any point of your room you have a perfect view of the lake through the huge window fronts. Each suite is provided with a small kitchen unit, private bath an inside hammock and a fireplace. There is also a little electric heater for your use We do a big effort to work very ecological. The cabins are built with a complete heat insulation of polystyrene inside the roof, as well as in the walls below the facade. We preheat the water with big solar panels and than feed it into the electric boiler to guarantee very hot water 24 hours a day. We recycle all our washing machine water with an automatic sprinkler to wet our extensive gardens, and we also collect any plastic or glass bottle left behind to be recycled. ... more   less
