We stayed in the Tipi suite, the whole experience was just amazing. There is no way to describe how beautiful and peaceful this place is. The view of the lake, the terrace, the comfortable beds, the great shower, the garden with llamas, the hot tub and the best part...very affordable.

I hate to be a party poop but we found Las Olas to be a mixed bag. First -- the location is fabulous as is the view -- worthy of the 5 rating. We also very much appreciated the small patio area with hammocks. This was a super comfortable place to hang out and watch the alpaca "lawnmowers". That said,...

While I don't think I'm saying anything vastly different from other people, this was a truly special experience and I wish we had more time to stay, The sea shell was adorable. The bathroom and bedroom amazing and fireplace on the second floor especially useful. The rooms were amazing and outside area really peaceful. Great views.

I can't express what a great experience we had at las olas. We had been traveling around Bolivia staying at 5 stars and hostels, we also really enjoyed a couple nights at las cupela. The owner Martin is kind and thoughtful. The staff are helpful at both places and we enjoyed their restaurant as well. While we enjoyed most of...

This is one amazing place to stay! We spend two nights at the sea tower and would have stayed two more nights but unfortunately it was already full. So we had to move to La Cupula which is the sister hostel on the same property. Architecture in Las Olas is great and it has am amazing view over Lake Titicaca. ...

It's a little pricey but totally worth it . Such attention to detail and the room are so unique and well thought out . The views are sensational . We stayed in room 5. It could easily sleep 4 which actually makes it quite cheap And has so much space . Totally worth a night or two

There's not much to do in Copacabana so having somewhere nice to stay and admire the beautiful scenery is a huge bonus. The rooms felt very homely and cosy with the open fires and hot water bottles. The hammocks and awesome bathroom are also a positive! Being very picky...the place could do with some new bedding and towels as the...

We travel sporadically and never really make travel plans in advance. We really lucked out when Las Olas had availability only a few days before our arrival. When I emailed then I let them know we are flexible on days and the room type. We had to move once during our three day stay, but there is not another place...

We stayed here for 2 nights. Pros: construction was unique and the view spectacular. Great to have our own little garden and kitchen too. Cons: you do not get value for money. For 50 USD per night (quite expensive for Bolivia), I'd assume that the hotel would provide you with a cake of soap. We have been provided soap in...

This boutique hotel is fabulous. Very tastefully decorated, each cottage has its own theme (snail, turtle, sea shell) and the decor, furniture and utensils are centered around the particular them. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom have very hot water and the view is just amazing. There are no TVs in the rooms but view, the books are a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dear tourist, hostel "Las Olas" is placed on a hill side over looking lake Titicaca. From any of the seven suites you have a marvellous view over the bay and the lake. You have spacious gardens with hammocks and deck chairs on the different terraces leading down the hill side. On our grounds you can use a fire place and we have several stone tables and benches to eat outside to enjoy the views. For those who love plants and flowers, you will find an enormous variety of predominantly local species. All suites have been individually designed, using as many natural and local materials as possible and respecting traditional ways of construction. They provide a maximum comfort and you will find many artistic details for the eye. From your living room area, from your bed and almost from any point of your room you have a perfect view of the lake through the huge window fronts. Each suite is provided with a small kitchen unit, private bath an inside hammock and a fireplace. There is also a little electric heater for your use We do a big effort to work very ecological. The cabins are built with a complete heat insulation of polystyrene inside the roof, as well as in the walls below the façade. We preheat the water with big solar panels and than feed it into the electric boiler to guarantee very hot water 24 hours a day. We recycle all our washing machine water with an automatic sprinkler to wet our extensive gardens, and we also collect any plastic or glass bottle left behind to be recycled. ... more   less
