    The lodge is very clean with friendly staff. The lodge is on the Chobe river and near all the shops. The rooms with own patio, air-con, Satellite TV, Telephone Boat trips and Game drive bookings at the lodge. My guests always enjoy both and children get a discount.

    I’m staying at The Chobe Safari Lodge in January for2 nights, then going into Victoria Falls for a few nights. I’m looking for recommendations for transfer.

    We will be staying in Livingstone for 2 nights in February 2019 and are interested in staying at the Chobe Safari Lodge afterwards. We will be flying from Johannesburg to Livingstone, therefore what's the best way to get to Chobe? Do we have to rent a car in Livingstone? Does the Lodge offer pick-up and drop-off to the Ferry crossing? If not, recommendations on who I can contact to make such arrangements? Thanks in advance!
    We travelled from Vic Falls to Chobe organised by our tour company - so I don’t know how relevant this information will be? There seemed to be many tour companies based in Vic Falls - so perhaps Livingston will be similar? We were driven to the border by our tour company Jules Verne & collected there by Chobe based operators who drove us to Chobe Lodge - returning after 3 days The Botswana border crossing with Zimbabwe was somewhat chaotic & it was beneficial to have expert guidance Certainly pleased I wasn’t driving through the truck queues But this may not be true for Zambian border

    Hi, I will be staying at the Lodge in February 2019. I am having trouble getting Botswanna Pula cash from my Australian bank. Is it OK to travel with US Dollars or is another currency recommended? Should I just make a cash advance withdrawal at Kasane Airport? What is a reasonable amount to give for tips to guides and resort staff? Are their other expenses I should allow for? Can I use my credit card at the Lodge? Sorry for all the questions but thanks for any advice. Jim
    Hi Jim. I’ll try to answer the best. About the money - you have to use Pula in cash. They will not accept another currency. You can use your credit card at the lodge, no problem there. But not all the restaurants and shops accept credit cards. Not sure about tips. Other expenses? Depends upon the kind of trip you are taking. Anyways- I’m sure you’ll enjoy Botswana. Its an amazing country.

    What type of plug adaptor is required for the rooms please?
    They have regular American style plugs as well as the round-triple hole Botswana plug. Not a problem. The safari vehicles have universal adaptors.
