Awesome is one word to describe this lodge! The staff were there before you could blink an eye. They even did our laundry. What an experience to eat out in the open with a fire going and animals visiting the waterhole. Love, love this place.

The tented cabins are somewhat different. They are quite large with basic requirements inside.& the bathroom offered a very good shower. The only fault that I had with this cabin was that an extra light was needed in the main area. You have a small veranda out front from which you can see the waterhole where elephants, giraffes, monkeys &...

The good: The game viewing in Chobe was awesome. Our guide had bionic eyes or something, because he would spot things while driving at the same time, and the rest of us were straining to see what he was pointing at. The bad: I stayed here on the recommendation of my travel agent because other places were booked up. I...

But, sorry, not the meals. We had been told that the dinners were gourmet here. While breakfast and lunch were OK, the dinners were bizarrely bad. Our friends who had stayed here before said there was a clear decline in this aspect of the lodge. The rooms, staff and the game tours were truly fine and for that reason it's...

Highlight of our African 3 week vacation. We couldn't be happier with the luxury tents, staff, food and total experience. Our Guide was amazing, he was very knowledgeable and patient. He had a sunny disposition and was eager to show us all the wonderful animals and answer any questions we asked. We visited in August 2014 and this is considered...

Elephant valley lodge is a very beautiful place to stay in a typical african way. Food and services were excellent and tents are very comfortable and deeped into wild nature. Unfortunately the staff is really unsatisfactory. First day of game drive we had a bad experience with a guide and we ask to change him for another guide, since we...

Ester& Richard are great hosts that go above& beyond to make the experience here fun, personable, and memorable. 38 of us arrived and we were all treated like family. Food was great. Staff is so friendly & helpful. Accomodations are rustic but more than adequate- this is Africa not Australia. Loved waking up to the bird songs, wild animals, sunshine....

Stayed here for just two nights, but saw a myriad of animals at the watering hole and during game outings. Highlights of the hotel include frequent animal sightings at the watering hole, well appointed, comfortable luxury tents, good food and a small, but wonderful swimming pool. Management staff was fantastic. They were knowledgeable, attentive and eager to help. The rest...

Elephant Valley Lodge wa a highlight of our 4 week trip to Africa. We had a great guide, exciting game drives, excellent food and superior customer service. While eating dinner one night at their Boma, we saw 25 elephants, several giraffes, a honey badger and some impalas at their watering hole. That was quite a show-all for free. We had...

Arrived late after a long day and a bus breakdown in zimbabwe. We were greeted. All very nice but the managers took 40 mins to issue keys as they were continually trying to make jokes. Dinner was at 8.30 but african time. Very long day. Next morning up at 5.30 for game drive. No electricity. Pitch dark. Reported to management...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated in the Lesoma Valley (corridor between Chobe National Park and Wangi National Park). All year round waterhole in front of lodge that has daily visitations of all game including BIG 4. We are far enough away from villages and towns to enjoy the natural sounds of the bush (lions roaring, hyenas calling and elephants trumpeting). We have 24 hour electrical power, with fans and electric blankets (winter only) plus the whole property is secured by a perimeter electrical fence to keep out dangerous animals.
