Our group from New Zealand spent three nights at Elephant Valley Lodge and had a great time. Our tented accommodation was fine and the staff and management very welcoming. The food was good, except that the barbeque was partly underdone, and it was rather cold eating outside at night. But from there while we were eating we did see animals...

The Elephant Valley Lodge is a peaceful and spacious area to stay in when one is not bouncing around in the back seat of a large land rover. Our tented camp shelter was clean and suitable for our needs - possibly the only complaint I could find with it was that it didn't have a door leading to the bathroom...

The tent cabins were clean and comfortable. Food was mostly buffet style and only average in quality but the dining by the watering hole was fun. If you're coming to see a lot a animals the Chobe park is the place to do it and our guide Zambo made sure we saw it all. The best activity was the river...

Our last stay for two nights was one of the climaxes of our wonderful trip to South Africa. I was at first dubious about sleeping in a tent but it was a very glamorous tent with a spacious ensuite. To sit in a comfortable lounge area overlooking a waterhole which was visited by elephants, mongeese, baboons, lions, impalas and other...

I have lived and visited many parts of Africa over the past several years. This was my first venture into Botswana. I found crossing from Zambia to Botswana painless and quick despite the bridge being built at the boat launch site. We were greeted by staff from the lodge and a quick drive found us at the lodge having driven...

I visited the lodge as part of a corporate retreat. it is a tented camp retreat just outside Kasane. It's located in the middle of the bush overlooking a waterhole . I had the pleasure of viewing game throughout the day( buffalo, elephants and a munger of impalas) and during the night. A herd of buffalo were grazing a stone...

Having been to a few different game reserves this time of year, the amount of animals you can view up close in Chobe is incredible! The transit from the Kasane airport to the lodge is very brief, and we were greeted by elephants on the way. The lodge itself overlooks a watering hole that is littered with animals ranging from...

this was our first real taste of Africa and the animals. our guide, Ren, was very friendly and his knowledge of the area and animals together with his friendliness and sense of humour made our tours wonderful! Permanent tented accommodation was very comfortable and food and service by all staff was excellent! definately recommend!

During our 16 day honeymoon, we traveled to Amsterdam, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Paris. And in all honesty, the highlight of our entire honeymoon was staying at EV Lodge! This lodge is very unique; you don't feel like you're staying at a commercial establishment, instead you feel like you're staying at a friends home. First, I'll tell you about the staff....

Elephant Valley Lodge was our first camp with an OATS group in late October. Tents were comfortable and staff was very welcoming. Plenty of amenities - easy-to-see watering hole, clean swimming pool, dramatic dinner seating, 20-minute ride to Chobe. We got a kick out of baboons and kudu roaming throughout the grounds, despite protective "electric fences." Our guides were extremely...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated in the Lesoma Valley (corridor between Chobe National Park and Wangi National Park). All year round waterhole in front of lodge that has daily visitations of all game including BIG 4. We are far enough away from villages and towns to enjoy the natural sounds of the bush (lions roaring, hyenas calling and elephants trumpeting). We have 24 hour electrical power, with fans and electric blankets (winter only) plus the whole property is secured by a perimeter electrical fence to keep out dangerous animals. We are 30 minutes from an International Airport (Kasane)and 30 minutes from a Medical Center. ... more   less
